"Jungkook..."
He overheard the voice of his guest and turned around to find her dressed in a bright red off-shoulder dress jaw-dropped due to his preparations. Nonetheless, he gleamed and walked to her.
"You look spectacular, well, did you like it?" He asked, while Y/n nodded her head vigorously. No one had ever done such a masterpiece for her, hence, it was a little difficult to believe the efforts Jungkook put into tonight.
"I- isn't this too much, Jungkook?"
"For you? Nah, it's still less. By the way, walk on the path I created for you, princess." Jungkook gave her a formal bow, making her smile.
When after obeying him she had walked down the path and reached the mini table with a beaming Jungkook staring at her in awe , she was again staggered seeing her favorite cake.
"Oh god, you did way too much!"
"I told you it's still less." Jungkook casually shrugged.
"But, why so suddenly all of this? You plainly called me today morning telling me to get ready for a date on rooftop and even sent me this dress, why Jungkook?"
Jungkook contemplated, his heart screeching to call it off a simple date, but he just decided to go with his plans. A single part of Jungkook never agreed with this whole date. He truly never desired to do it till he was fully clear and prepared about sincerely loving Y/n, but then again, his plans needed to be put into deeds.
"Uh, I just... I just wanted to tell you somethings" He fumbled with his words somehow getting them out, and Y/n seemed to rake her eyes over his face, scanning for the reason why he was stumbling with his speech.
"Are you ok?" She softly gripped his hands, feeling that he really wasn't in his right condition- which he actually wasn't in. Nevertheless, Jungkook just nodded. He couldn't put it this far. He had to taken Anna's revenge before it was too late.
When Jungkook opened his mouth to begin with his little made up speech, y/n's statements make him halt.
"you know, Jungkook? I really feel different with I am with you." She whispered in her dulcet voice that made Jungkook hit a lottery. Jungkook should be proud of himself that Y/n had decided to confess first. he should be celebrating internally that his ideas would be executed much easily and smoothly now. However, he, somewhere inside, didn't really want her to continue. He didn't want to hear her feelings. He wished her to close her mouth so, he would eventually fail today, yet he couldn't and didn't do that; he just let her open herself.
"I am in cloud nine when you are around. Jungkook, tell me what this is, but when everyone looked at you as a total different person, prioritizing your mistakes and bad sides; I looked at your good. I don't know what made you the way you were, but whatever it must've been, I am glad that you are amazing now. Jungkook, the world says... that we need to choose our other half carefully, although with you there is no fear in my heart of being wrong."
'Y/n please don't say it...' Jungkook's soul wished, still Y/n didn't attempt to give her words a brake and went on.
"I am crazy... crazy about you and your every single detail. I might be not a really great girl you'd like, yet I promise to try to be something which a little you might appreciate. I am silly, childish, not that great, still, I have fallen for you..."
"y/n..."
"I love you, Jungkook..."
As soon as those words left her lips, Jungkook's blood in his veins froze. The time where he should be jumping and popping a champagne for his triumph suddenly, turned into the one where he was in despondence. His face was grim. Fuck it if he wasn't hating himself the most at the very second.
Jungkook never really had estimated how grueling it'd be when Y/n spoke those three words to him in person. He was now regretting. Y/n was never bad to him, what even was her mistake? Why did he even plan this in first place?
All questions weren't affecting him enough that Seonghwa just barged in through the door as an add on. "Y/n!" Seonghwa's yell echoed, making her flinch as she swirled around to look at her friend with the most stunned expression.
"Seonghwa, what the fuck?" She shot draggers at him while he gave a death stare at the now pale Jungkook.
"You ask me? ask that moron!" Seonghwa pointed at Jungkook whose head was hanging low with a sigh leaving his edges.
"What you mean?" Y/n asked being confused by his actions.
"You really think he loves you? You think he arranged this date to make you feel special? Come out of your imagination Y/n! Come out! He fucking is playing with you!"
Jungkook's head shot up at Seonghwa's divulgence. How did he know all of this? With raging eyes, Jungkook rudely argued back, "Leave us alone, dickhead!"
Seonghwa scoffed in disbelief upon witnessing Jungkook's arrogance. He couldn't put belief into this man who was wrong but was acting like he was flawless. "Seriously? Jungkook just because her step-brother raped your girlfriend, Anna, and killed her doesn't mean you play with her feelings!!"
Jungkook's regret disappeared in thin air when he heard his words. When he heard Anna's word, he forget that single part that was in Y/n's favor. Anna's revenge was the only thing that was shimmering in his orbs.
Jiyoung, Y/n's step-brother, was the one who raped Anna. The one who took Jungkook's first love away from his life. This is why Jungkook helped Y/n at that store, to confirm the exact relationship between her and Jiyong.
And when he was acknowledged about them being siblings, Jungkook had been making plan to ruin Y/n's life; use her as a revenge. He had decided to break her heart, and leave her, so she could make her feel the agony he went through.
But was she really at fault? When Jungkook gave this query his piece of mind, he came to a conclusion that she was at fault. He mistake was that she was Jiyong's sister.
Moreover, when the truth was unveiled before Y/n, she couldn't comprehend. Her heart was literally breaking and she was so lost by what she actually should do...
"what? Who's his girlfriend?! What's happening here!?" y/n whined with tears streaming down his face, and Seonghwa pulled her away from Jungkook.
"You had enough of playing with us, Jungkook. I seriously had a conception that you changed and were genuinely a good friend. Hell, I even thought that you'd keep her happy. but you know what, you are a self-centered ass! What is her fault?! Why make her fall in love when she literally was about to move on when you told her to be off?! Jungkook you are a spineless piece of shit-"
"Stop!" Jungkook cut Seonghwa's words. "Yes, I am selfish! What will you do?" He shifted his gaze at Y/n, "You really think I will fall for you, y/n?! You silly! What made you think that? Look at yourself! You're nothing compared to my Anna. What are you to me? Nothing! I don't give a damn fuck about you dying or living!"
Y/n's soul clenched. She knew she was no one. But those damn words stung! It hurts like shit when someone you love till death doesn't give a damn about your existence! It's fucking horrible.
"Y/n, I actually succeeded. Look at you, heartbroken, right? You probably gonna cry. I won. My revenge fruited. I was planning to get more bad, but Seonghwa took away a little fun."
Jungkook arrogantly snickered, but soon halted when he realized about Seonghwa knowing everything. How was he aware of those stuffs?
"Wait, how you know?"
"None of your fucking business!"
Y/n was having a lot already, she didn't want more. Her heart had plenty for tonight.
"Seonghwa, lets go..." Y/n, in an almost broken, barely above a whisper voice said, and Seonghwa shot Jungkook a glare. Y/n was sad; he was furious. If he could murder people without getting himself a criminal background, then Jungkook would be the first and the last one.
"Wait!"
