The moon in the night, shining in it's unhindered glory, made her look at it. She felt, what was she to him? Why was she always expecting him to act sweet to her when he had no whatsoever for her in his heart? Why was the agony in her core heaving at every little act he put up?
Why was she looking at him like he was the only one who was hers? Why was she assuming him to be more significant to her than oxygen? She was no one.
When she realized, it hurt. Her heart stammered in her chest. He desired him to come back into her arms. However, the luck is meant to be prickly...
She had listened to him; she stayed far away from him. She had made her heart obey her brain, warning it to be aloof from him. Though, their eyes never met, hers still saw him in every dream. She wanted him to be ecstatic wherever he was now. And, after all, what did they even have, right?
She met him in her reverie each day, holding his hand and him like he was all hers, but the reality was thousand times more acrimonious. The few months that passed by, were just in the daze. Y/n stole often glances at Jungkook, whereas, he had forgotten she ever existed.
It killed her. The girl had literally removed her heart out and held it out for him to hold, yet it was untouched by him. Why had Jeon Jungkook been like that to her? He had made her nights nothing, but depressed.
Seonghwa had noticed this change in her too. And, if he hadn't been beside her. She'd have already done something irrational long back. He often took her on outings to gardens, arcade, amusement parks, adventuring activities, and those were what made her at least smile.
Seonghwa stuck by her through thick times, and Jungkook didn't. He had held her closely to his heart. Wishing anything but the sadness to swallow her. He fought every gloomy thought of her and made her joyful. Not to mention, he also fell more in love. Seonghwa never wanted to leave her side, until and unless one day, fate, the bitch, acted up again.
He held her hand, making her look at him, "I need to talk."
"What's it?" She interrogated excitedly, turning his gaze to him from the beguiling scene of cherry blossom.
"I- I need to go to Japan..." Y/n glimmer got down. Seonghwa had to leave her again. She had to leave her best friend, again.
A single drop of teardrop cascaded down her face, making Seonghwa bring his thumb up to her face and wipe it off deliberately. "I'll be back after two months..."
"H- how can you-"
"Shh... I will return to you after few months, Y/n. I promise..."
She sniffed and wrapped her arms around him, not wanting to let go off him. How could she when he was all she had at that moment?
She needed Seonghwa by her side, otherwise, she'd be shattered. Seonghwa was more than necessary to her currently. So necessary that, she could possible get a literal broken heart if he departed.
"Y- you would return??"
Seonghwa Patted Y/n's back soothingly, and nodded, "Yes, just two months, and I'll be here beside you."
"come soon, please."
"I will try my best... and, if you ever miss, just look at your bracelet and think I am right by your side."
She nodded slightly, causing her head to hit Seonghwa's chin and his lips to get hurt, nevertheless. he didn't lament. If the agony was coming from Y/n, he was ready on a foot to take it. That's how much he loved her.
"I will return soon."
"I will wait."
Seonghwa didn't want to say it, he just wished he could shut his mouth and enjoy the moment he was having with Y/n, but then again, his heart had to react up and say it, "Stay away from Jungkook, ok?"
"Ok... Also, he hates me any which way..."
Seonghwa hummed; he knew Jungkook did hate her, but that hate was slowly about to get transformed into love. He was well aware that after he went, Jungkook would be the one to stick by Y/n. And, that will be the point where he'd fall head over heels for her.
Jungkook hated Y/n way too much, and anything excessive isn't good. Where there is too much sweetness, there is higher possibility of diabetes and where there too much hate, there is higher possibility of hidden love.
Seonghwa was afraid, but prepared too. He knew once Jungkook falls for Y/n, she'd eventually too. He had already pictured them getting married and holding a baby, plus, his heart did yelp in pain, yet, he accepted it.
Ironic how neither of them knew that Seonghwa's predictions would turn accurately correct as soon as he left.
