Title: Golden~

The sun began to sink below the horizon, washing the grass with a warm glow just right. Who would have thought that it would be so beautiful?

Even a young man thought this was beautiful. He has ash-blonde hair, red eyes- just one look at him and you'll feel intimidated.

He came here...he came here because he wanted to spend time with his special someone. She has been by his side, never leaving him when he need help.

That wasn't the only reason why he came to this special place and this time, he took this to heart more than usual. He knew and she knew...that her time was drawing near.

They're both graduates from the famous UA Highschool. They went through everything together.

When they both hit their second year, he had enough nerves to ask her out. And you know what she said?

She said yes! This made him feel like the luckiest guy in the world.

But his luck would run out farther soon than he expected... As they hit their second year of dating, she was diagnosed with cancer.

During the ups and downs he wouldn't leave. I mean- who would leave their beloved at a time like that?

This young man did EVERYTHING he could to cheer her up. Made her favorite food, sang get favorite songs, took her to her favorite places.

But- he felt like that wasn't enough. Could he not have her...for just a little longer?

They were sitting side by side in the grass, welcoming the rays of golden light before they sunk down into the cold night. Even the flowers seemed beautiful, the sun hitting them at that PERFECT moment.

It wasn't fair. Can't he hold onto her for a few more moments?

"It's not fair", the young man said, his voice breaking as he struggled to keep his tone steady. "Why do you have to go so soon?"

"What do you mean?" The girl next to him asked, knowing very well what he meant.

"Why can't you stay here longer? What am I gonna do without you! I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you", he said, taking all the emotion he has into his words. "I'll never be the same... Don't leave me like this...!" By this point, he couldn't hold back his tears.

"Oh, Bakugou, I know how you feel... Don't make this harder than it needs to be. It won't help-", she began to cough roughly, knowing that her time was close. "-It won't help anything..."

"You're like...you're like the golden light I never had... Why do you, like everything else that's bright and beautiful, have to go away? Damnit!"

"Hush, my love... Please..." She layed down in the grass. "Here- I wanna give you something", she reached her hand in her pocket. "You'll always remember me", she pulled out a chain with a locket. "O-Open it..."

When he did...more emotion took over. It with a picture of the both of them, on that one carnival night.

But also, it brought him a piece of mind. She looked so happy...

By now she has lost all her hair. He doesn't care about that- she's still beautiful, and always will be.

"Take care of that...okay?" Her voice was becoming more rough, taking an agonizing breath from her already failing lungs. "I'll always be here...whenever...whenever you feel like...y-you're alone"

"It's beautiful... I'll always keep it. Don't ever go away from me, damnit. You hear me? H-hey, wake up! Wake up, damnit!"

But, this beautiful eyes have been closed for the last time. He let out a pained cry, unable to believe that the one he thought he would spend eternity with is gone.

He picked up her limp form close to his chest and buried his face in the crook of his neck. He couldn't believe that she was gone...

"Bakugou, darling...please don't cry. I'm right here", her gentle voice whistled in the wind in his ear. "Nobody's ever really gone"

"I-I hear you now. May you forever rest in piece...my Golden"

He set her down, leaving her to rest for forever. He lifted up his head, letting the cooling breeze relax his thoughts.

Then- he felt a gentle force around him. Almost...almost like a hug.

"I'm right here...I'll never truly leave you"
