Gay "representation"

(remember how I said my book got deleted? well, I was smart enough to save the stuff I wrote to my computer. now I can just copy-paste!)

I will say it right now. I'm a straight female but I support the LGBT community.

But this has to be said. There are too many gay ships in the fandom. About 99% of RusAme stories are gay. About 85% of GerPol stories are gay. And don't even get me started on ThirdUnion.

Because of that, I feel that the gay community is not being represented but fetishized. One of the countries is almost always a "shortie pie gay UwU depressed femboy owo" and the other an "edgy yandere hot muscle man."

Twelve-year-old girls drool over these types of stories. And that's not okay. In real life gay relationships share many similarities with straight ones. Any guy you see could be gay. he doesn't have to wear feather boas or pink, you know. Gay people are people so please treat them as such. 

I want there to be less shipping and more adventure. by plot and adventure, I don't mean kidnapping stories and all that yandere stuff. Please don't get me started on the yandere-

I'm not against shipping. I support ships that are based off history and modern-day relationships. But I still won't accept a ship between two countries because it's hot, edgy, or anything else along those lines.

If you want to include multiple ships in a story, that's fine. But include some straight ones as well! Or even lesbian ones, I don't see much of those. But please, don't fetishize the gay community! Portray these relationships accurately.

Now there's a rise in incest stories in Countryhumans.

More specifically gay incest stories. This is rumored to have started with Markai Cat's rusame fanfic Not Close Enough. Even though they deleted the book please don't go harass them, k? :)

Do you edgy twelve year olds understand that incest is illegal for a reason? That it's NOT one of those forbidden love situations? If you know anything about genetics (which I doubt, y'all twelve year olds probably don't know what a ribosome does in a cell) you'll understand why incest is detrimental for the human race.

All of this falls under the umbrella term of unrealistic ships. If you want to ship, fine do your thing, but don't come up with random ships. There has to be a reason behind a ship like a historical friendship or good modern-day relations. For example I'm fine with Poland x Hungary because the two countries have had a brotherhood since medieval times.
