I was working on a file when I got a call. "Mish come into my office."

I walked to pa's office and knocked.

"Come in." Vikram was there too, I settled next to him.

"I'm leaving for Pune, for two days. So, you both have to attend this Business party tonight. It's for their new CEO, he has cracked his first major project. Give my wishes to him."

"Noted, sir." He nodded at pa.

"Yes, pa. "

"You may leave." Vikram stood up to leave and I walked around the table and wrapped my arms around my father.

"How do you do that? I love you."

"Anything for you. But this time you stay with him, we haven't found the shooter, yet."

"Okay, take care. And bring me their famous sarees. " He smiled.

I walked to the cafeteria during the break to find Vikram talking to someone at a corner they seemed to have a serious conversation. When someone pushed the girl accidentally and she fell on Vikram.

"What are you doing." He glared at the poor boy.

"I-I am sorry, sir." He rushed out of there as if his pants were on fire.

Vikram helped the girl stand straight and she put his hands on his arms for support.

Just then noticed me standing there. "Mish?" He seemed to realize his position immediately pulled back, good for him.

I raised my brows at him and left for my office.

"Wait, Mish. Listen to me."

This was going to be fun. A bloody opportunist I am. Now he'll have to talk to me.

I closed my office door with a bang. He came in right after me and stood in front of me.

"I asked you to stop." I started back to my chair when he pulled me flush to him. "Don't, walk away."

I try to pull back but he tightens his hold.

"Goddammit, listen to me. You know what you saw was nothing." Now he was frustrated.

"You did too." Realization dawned in his eyes, his grip loosened.

"It was impulsive, but I didn't mean to hurt you, and you bloody well know that. Still you kept shunning me for days."

He held me, his forehead against mine."At the thought of you getting hurt, I felt helpless. I was wrong..." He struggled.

"Come on, say it." I tried to hide my smile.

"Don't." He glared but I still had the stupid smile on my face, I enjoyed watching him struggle. Yup, his company is affecting me.

I urged him. "I shouldn't have pushed you away, I..."

"We don't have all day. " I was enjoying this.

"I'm sorry." I held his hands, getting closer.

"See not at all hard."

"You are enjoying it a bit too much." I nodded. "Don't get used to it."

"We'll see," I said smugly.

"Oomph" He kissed me, hard and fierce, I would never get used to this.

"Don't ever, do that again." His forehead resting on mine. Our breadth mingling.

"I'm gonna be on gunpoint again?" I joked.

"Be careful, in general. And no, you are never going to be at a gunpoint ever again." His fingers drew patterns on my waist.

"Okay," I whispered.
