"So Travis, how is your mom?""I would like to believe she is ok.""I spoke to her and she said you haven't called in a while.""Oh come on Gina. You are sweating me, man. I spoke to mom last week and she was bitching about some money bullshit. And honestly, I was not in the mood.""Anywho, let's stop here I'm starving."

Gina and Travis stopped at the Friznos Café and bar for lunch. They thought they would eat out today. Entering the restaurant, Travis had seen what Gina had not, or better yet, whom Gina had not. Travis was staring at Gina's one and only supposed love. Travis was forced to and listened to her story of sadness when she came to work one day, broken down, with lack of sleep and swollen eyes from crying. That day Gina made him swear never to talk about what happened, and he did. Now he needed to find a way not to let Gina see whom he saw. Travis was however too late. By the time he was to suggest they eat elsewhere, he turned around to see her stunned and frozen. Still trying to salvage what remained of the day, he suggested that they bought something from the sandwich cart instead.

"No it's fine, we are eating here." Gina had not seen Carlisle in seven months. Not seeing him however did not affect her memories of him. They were as vivid as yesterday. Within an instant, she felt Travis's hand on her back pulling her towards their table. Still unable to take her eyes off him she felt everything in her melt. She was hurt and angered all in one. How is it that a man she has never been with has so much control over her heart? "Hi!"The familiar voice rang in her ear."Hi!""How are you?"'How the fuck do you think I am? I am this close to insanity right now.' Gina's thoughts are now interrupting her logical reasoning."I am ok," she managed to say."That's good to know." With a sigh, their conversation ended. Gina stood for a few seconds before walking towards Travis. "You ok Ms. Thornwood?"Despite the fact that Travis knows more about Gina's personal life than her friends, he never in any way disrespected her. "I am ok. Thanks for asking. Now let us order. Please."They ordered lunch, nothing fancy. Just something to satisfy their hungry taste buds. During her lunch, Gina took quick glances at Carlisle. It was on her second glance that she noticed him seated with a woman. The same woman from his apartment that day. Thoughts began to swirl around Gina's mind as she tried to understand their relationship. Observing the woman closely, Gina saw how she touched his arm occasionally, especially when talking to him. She was staring into his eyes. He never liked when Gina stared into his eyes. One day she was playfully flirting with him and stared into his eyes. She felt the softness of his light hazel-brown eyes staring back at her for the first few seconds of their shared stare. She always liked his eyes. He had the most sparkling eyes, especially when he smiles. He was the epitome of handsome. And she loved that she was attracted so incandescently to such a man. That day while sharing a stare, he said to her with a smirk, "Don't look at me like that." "How am I looking at you? Innocently?" Gina's reply was titillating as she pursued him even more."You and I both know nothing innocent comes from that look."With that response, Gina had wished very hard for something not innocent to happen. Breaking her own thought process, Gina got up from the table, feeling drained from looking at Carlisle and his girl. "Travis, I am going to the lady's room. Be right back."With that said, Gina sauntered away from the table she shared with Travis. After she left, Travis realized she had barely touched her food. He instantly felt sorry for her, for her heart.Gina got to the restroom. Found an empty stall and began crying her eyes out again. Her thoughts were getting the best of her now. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! What the fuck is wrong with you? He never wanted you and he never will. How and why the fuck did you allow yourself to fall in love with a man that will never be not even in a thousand light-years. Hearing the sounds of stilettos on the tiled floor, she held her breath and allowed herself to calm down until the stilettos left. As she was about to begin her ranting once more she heard her name behind the stall."Gina? I know you are in there. I know you know it's me and that you might be thinking to yourself that you should ignore me, but I just want to talk to you please."Gina opened the door to her stall and looked at the familiar physique standing in front of her. Being too tired to wipe the tears from her eyes, she stared at the other party in the bathroom. Seeing him now for the first time in seven months, opened wounds that were not properly closed, and as much as she tried to hold back the tears and the sobs that bundled at her throat, Gina's hold capacity was full and she burst into tears.
