"Sit down!"Ste Vaughn shoved her into her leather chair as he began to take a better look at her office. "At least you are still a clean woman. But then again in this big-time company, you must have someone cleaning for you. After all, you are Regina Thornwood, Second Vice President of Real Deal Records." "Seriously, what do you want Ste Vaughn?""Were you not listening to me? I want you. I want us. I want our life back, and I am not leaving without it tonight. You took my fucking ring and left me. Why the fuck would anyone do that?""If my memory serves me well Ste Vaughn, it was you who did not show up at the altar. I loved you. You beat it out of me. I had to love you. I had no choice.""You haven't been beaten yet, love. However, you will find out real soon. And as a matter of fact, I didn't deliberately leave you at the altar I had a migraine episode. It was far worse than it had ever been. On my way to the church, they had to take me to the hospital. The next day I woke up with bandages on my head and you were nowhere to be found. My brother then told me you left town. I was devastated. I was in and out of hospitals for a month and a half when the doctor told me I may not have long to live. I told myself that I will not accept that lie because I will take back my life and revenge on the bitch who took it away from me.""I didn't take your life away from you Ste Vaughn. You took mine away from me. There was never a night when you didn't beat me for cheating on you. Even though I wasn't. I never did cheat on you, but you never believed me and I was beginning to give up. I couldn't have friends, I couldn't talk to anyone. I was tired of being tired and I was tired of the beating. Many nights I asked myself why didn't I leave and I realized I couldn't leave. I had no willpower nor self-esteem strong enough to get me going. That day when you didn't turn up for the wedding I saw it as my cue, my last chance at a life and I took it. And Ste Vaughn, I do not regret it. For the first time since I can remember I was and am happy."
While Gina spoke, Ste Vaughn stared out the window. He remembered the first time he hit her. He promised her he would never do it again and they made love that night. That promise was quickly broken two days after. He slammed her into the wall, then threw her on the bed. He saw the fear in her eyes but he couldn't help himself a new person had taken over. He felt it and she saw it. Wrapping his large hands around her throat, he squeezed as she tried without avail to pry his long fingers from around her neck. As his tall and thin frame came above her, he squeezed her body with his legs. Quickly taking advantage, she kneed him in the groin. That reaction caused him to fall on the bed holding his crotch and yelping in pain. Making her way to the door, he lunged forward and grabbed her begging her not to leave him. Trying with all her might, she pried her hand from his grip and reached for the doorknob. "Please baby. Don't leave me. I don't have anyone else. Please don't leave." Gina spun around and saw the tears running down his cheeks. Her heart began to feel sorry for him, while her head cussed her out and was begging her to leave. "Please baby, it won't happen again. I know I need help and I am trying to get it. I have been going to counseling and trying to work on my anger. Please don't leave me. I am trying baby. I need you. I need us. Please don't leave." Gina had begun her step away from the door as she turned around and held him close. They sat like that for hours until like a lamb he fell asleep in her arms.
A month had passed and it seemed like everything was going perfectly. They were as close as ever and it seems like therapy was working until he went into her cell phone messages and e-mail. He read all her messages she had sent to guys she told him were just friends and he decided the messages were too affectionate and intimate to be platonic relationships. That evening when Gina came home from her evening run he attacked her.
"Why do you have to be so easy with men? You are such a fucking clothespin. They squeeze your head and you open your legs.""What are you talking about babe?""Don't fucking babe me. Why are you texting like this to Ricardo? You calling people these affectionate names such as sweet cheeks and hon is only sending mixed messages to these men. I thought I told you not to do fuckery like this. I thought I told you they are not interested in being your friend. They just want to fuck you and leave. What do I have to do to make you understand." Slapping her across the face, his final words sent a throbbing pain to her right cheek. "I am going to show you who sweet cheeks is right now." As he lunged after her body on the bed, Gina moved quickly enough to make her way through the door. She however could not move faster than his long legs. She made it to the kitchen where he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into him. Screaming for him to let her go she reached for anything to grab to brace herself from his grasp. Her hand hit the pot of peas he was cooking off the fire and all over the floor. That only got him more irate. "You little bitch!" he let her go and turned off the stove. Realizing that she is no longer in his grasp he reached for her again and twisted her arm as he pulled her back to the bedroom. Gina screamed on top of her lungs when he punched her in the side of her head. The throbbing pain that his massive fists sent through her head stunned her into silence. She looked up at him as the wisp of air that left her mouth said I give up. She no longer had the power to fight him off. She no longer could, so she gave up. Within an instant, she felt herself no longer feeling the pain but embracing it. It was as if she was watching her body being dragged to the room and thrown unto the bed. She was watching this from above his frame. The look in her eyes was one telling her to accept her fate as the look in his eyes was one that was filled with hate and anger. It was as if he had morphed into someone else or something else. She was no longer looking into the face of Ste Vaughn it was someone else. She then began to laugh, as his fingers around her throat grew tighter. A look of confusion flashed across his face. He tried tightening his grip when she began choking with a smile. He released her. She coughed a bit then lifted herself on her elbows and said "baby why are you playing so rough?" The confusion was now pixilated on his face and in his voice when he asked "Are you ok?" To this, she replied, "Of course I am." Gina began kissing him all over. For a few minutes, he was stunned when he began to return her kisses. Earnestly she began to rip his clothes off his body, as she wanted to relish in the warmth of her man. Without hesitation, he removed her clothes and parted her legs. Delving deep into her the thrust began. However, little did he know was that in the dark-lit room he was not having sex with Regina, but someone else.
