Chapter 2

                                                       CAMILLA POV

I was finishing up on my last customer of the day, her name was Isabella, she had straight dark brown hair with honey blonde highlights, and slightly tanned skin. She was very nice once you got to know her but, also very talkative Cuca gets along with her great cause everytime Cuca is doing her hair they're gossiping 'bout who's doing who and why. That's what everyone does really except for me and Vanessa. We don't really ask for gossip like the others but if we are given the chance to find something out we'll take it. "Ay Camilla did you hear about Usnavi?" Isabella asked out of nowhere honestly but what did she mean about Usnavi, "nah what about him," I honestly don't know what bullshit rumor has been made this time but who knows. "Well apparently he was out with Angelina, they was kissing or something I ain't really sure." well I wasn't expecting that. Plus he wouldn't go out with someone like that sure Angelina is absolutely beautiful but also not his type. "No way he ain't like that, she's not his type anyway I would know" I replied after I let go of my initial shock. "I don't know Cam, I was talking to Sonny and he was telling me about that but at the same time it could just be him pulling a prank or something. Maybe the kid just wanted some drama but I just thought I would tell you," she responded softer than her normal upbeat loud voice. "Well maybe Sonny was just bullshitting. He does that sometimes. I'll probably ask him about it next time I see him or maybe I'll ask Usnavi but I'll ask one of them and get back to you ok?" "ok sounds good," she says.

I was just finishing up her hair while we finished that conversation when the bell rang "Speaking of the devil" Isabella muttered to me. This caused me to spin around and see Usnavi standing there smiling at me lightly. "Well I guess you're about to find out if it's true or not aren't you?" Isabella was smirking at me knowing the only time Usnavi comes to the salon is to talk to me or pick me up for something. "Ay dios mio, shut up Isabella!" I whisper shout at her. That's when I feel a pair of familiar arms wrap around my waist from behind. "What are you two talking 'bout?" Usnavi asks, resting his chin on my shoulder. "Nothing that concerns you, you goof." I say pushing him off me so I could pack up my stuff. I catch a glimpse of his face and it looks like he's frowning slightly. Then I realize Isabella is still standing there. It doesn't look like Cuca is doing anything except eye fucking Usnavi. "Cuca can you ring up Isabella while I clean up my chair please?" I ask her snapping her out of her thoughts. "Yeah sure we haven't spoken in forever anyways." She says even though she really likes Usnavi she always said we would be a cute couple. I always disagree though since he obviously has his eyes set on Vanessa. "Hey Cammy, what are you doing after work cause whatever plans you have you're gonna have to cancel." Usnavi asks, well more tells me. "I'm not doing anything but if I did have plans why would I have to cancel," I question him. "Well I decided we should go on a long walk and just really catch up not just 10 minute conversations we have during your lunch break. Talk about all of the gossip I know damn well you've acquired cause c'mon this is Daniela's and also just talk about our personal lives," he looks down at his feet while saying this last part, "I miss talking to you and just laughing our asses off over some stupid shit on the roof of one of our apartments or just walking down the streets." I smile lightly and hug him muttering an "I missed you too 'snavi" I say calling him by the name I gave him when we were kids. For some reason I couldn't pronounce Usnavi right at first it always sounded like 'snavi so I just call him that sometimes to remember how easy it was when we were kids. We didn't have to worry about bills, we had our parents, and one of us wasn't so set on leaving the other behind and going back to DR. "So is that a yes? Are you down to come?" he asks suddenly extremely happy "yes of course why wouldn't I want to hang out with my best friend?!" I say smiling even though referring to him as my best friend kind of hurts but he doesn't need to know that. "Well come on then I'm sure Daniela and Carla can close up the salon. RIGHT YOU TWO?!" he shouts at Daniela and Carla even though he knows they were already listening "Yeah sure you two go have fun" Carla says smirking at me. Basically everyone knew I had a crush on Usnavi except for Vanessa and well Usnavi. But V seems to be catching on. "But not too much fun" Daniela adds causing us to blush and laugh slightly. "Come on Dani we're just friends" Usnavi says laughing. Yeah that hurt. But I just have to brush it off like I always do.
