Jessi: Anywho, the title of your newest song sounds interesting. 'Effloresence', what does that mean? Even though I know English well, I don't know what this word means

Soo Bin: It's the English way of saying something is blooming

Jessi: Ahhh, does that mean that you're changing into what you've always wanted to become?

Amazed (☆▽☆)

Soo Bin: Oh yeah, yeah

Jessi: What made you call it that? Why that word instead of blooming?

Soo Bin: There was a lot of stuff that happened in the past that made me think I was not fit to follow my dreams. I would frequently compare myself with people around me and ask myself if I was worth all I had gained

Jessi: *nods head*

I can also relate to that

Soo Bin: But recently, I spent some time with myself and acknowledged all the hard work I had put into my dreams. Finally, the feeling of being an imposter has begun to fade - turning me into a different person. That's why I named the song 'Effloresence'

Jessi: The way I see it, it's very easy to question yourself and your abilities when you don't acknowledge your efforts. You have to keep a healthy balance between loving yourself and pointing out your flaws. 

Soo Bin: That's right

Soo Bin: As I was writing the lyrics for the song, the person that came into my mind the most was my grandmother

Jessi: your grandmother?

Soo Bin: My grandmother raised Eu Bin unnie and me alone in Seoul. She continued to work even though she was old and never complained once to both of us. She raised us well even with all the challenges, so it makes me happy that I can take care of her properly now. 

Jessi: Ahh, so blooming for you is turning from someone dependent to becoming someone people can rely on. It shows that you really love your family. I suddenly miss my mom back in the US

*Cut to Showterview next segment*

Jessi: This section of the program is called '5 seconds rule!'. The rules are: you have to give three answers to the keyword in 5 seconds. Wow, that sounds hard. That's why I brought in Jo Jung Shik

Jung Shik: Hello, I'm very happy to meet you Soo Bin

Jessi: Yah, you never say you're happy to see me. This is discrimination

Soo Bin: haha, nice to meet you Oppa

Jung Shik: That's it. My work here is done. I have fulfilled my life goal of being called Oppa by Kim Soo Bin. Thank you all, I will soon announce my retirement. 

*Laughs ring from the camera crew and Soo Bin*

Jessi: Yah, Oppa get it together. This is your job

Jung Shik: Wow, I wasn't even given a chance. Jessi list three things about Soo Bin

Soo Bin: Ohh, thank you

Jessi: Ahh she called me beautiful. You're so adorable

Soo Bin: Uhm, thank you for inviting me, I want to become friends with you and please give me your number 

Jessi: I'll answer that question too. First, be confident in your abilities, I'm rooting for you and I will give you my number

Jessi: Awh Soo Bin you did a really good job today (hugs Soo Bin). Why did it end so fast?

Soo Bin: Unnie, I don't want to leave it was so fun. Everyone, please take care of Jessi unnie. She may not look like it, but she actually really delicate and soft. 

Jessi: She's literally the cutest person ever. I'll call you later so you have to come hang out with me okay?

Soo Bin: I promise I'll be clear out the whole day just for you. 

Jessi: Okay bye, I'll call you

Here's another episode on Showterview with Jessi. I would have finished this earlier, but I watched K-drama all day (reward for doing well on my exams).
