Lavender
They almost made it to the island unseen when a group of Skywings ambushed them. Lavender rolled out of the way and landed on her feet, almost falling off of the seaside cliff.
"Just stop struggling and come with us!" One of their opponents hissed.
"Why would we willing come with you!?" Fennec snapped.
Lavender swung at one of them with her tail and knocked them over by their feet. "Oleander, get away!"
Oleander clawed at another one of the Skywings. "No way! I'm not leaving you two!"
"Agh! Stop talking!" The Skywing she'd attacked said. He grabbed her tail and threw her into a tree with a Crack!
"Oleander!" Lavender and Fennec both shouted.
The other Skywings surrounded them, slowly closing the circle.
Suddenly, a black shape ripped one of the Skywings out of the air and then they were gone.
They other Skywings looked around at where he went, forgetting their formation.
The black shape dropped down in front of them and flared his wings. "On jurisdiction of the Enclave, leave this island at once."
The Skywings wheeled backward. "Fly! Fly! Fly!" One of them shouted as the others scrambled to take off.
The Nightwing turned around and sighed. "Alright, what have I gotten myself in-" He stopped and stared at Lavender.
"You!?" They both yelled.
"What the hell are you doing here!" The Nightwing demanded.
Lavender scoffed. "I should ask you the same thing! Silver told me I'd find someone- ohhh...."
"Silver? What did that idiot do this time?" The Nightwing asked.
"We don't really know, we assume he's been kidnapped." Oleander said, who had also explained who they really were to Fennec on the way there.
The Nightwing narrowed his eyes at Oleander. "I feel like I know you..."
"Oh. I'm Oleander, Silver's sister."
The Nightwing tilted his head at her. "Oh, yeah, I forgot he had two sisters."
Oleander frowned as if she wasn't sure how to feel about that. "So, who are you?"
The Nightwing grinned. "I'm Comethunter, but you can call me Comet." He whipped his head at Lavender. "Except for you, you don't get to call me that."
Lavender scowled. "Asshole."
Comet glared at her. "Alright, follow me." He said, then swore something under his breath as he led them through the trees.
Lavender stormed after him. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"I live here," Comet looked over his shoulder at her. "What are you doing here?" He shot back.
"Kind of a long story, but we're wanted in Possibility for whatever reason." Lavender said, looking away at the trees.
Comet raised an eye. "Who'd you piss of this time?"
"Some Sandwing named Rattlesnake. According to Fennec, she was the wife of the ex-Talons of Peace leader."
Comet stopped suddenly as the trees cleared. Lavender hadn't noticed the mist until he stopped but now she could see the angelic plain in front of her.
A light rain fell on a long field of sunflowers, the green of the stems were hidden in a shroud of low humid clouds. In the middle of the field was a small wooden house that was barely visible to them.
"Whoa, what is all this?" Fennec asked.
Comet looked sideways at him. "It's mist, I'm guessing you've never seen it before?"
Fennec looked away sheepishly. "Er, I've never been out of the desert before."
Comet laughed and continued into the field. Lavender and Oleander exchanged a glance before they followed him.
The mist felt somewhat comfortable, like how the clouds above the rainforest felt when she flew through them.
Lavender glared at Comet but decided to keep her mouth shut.
When they got closer, she could see a dragon walking toward them from the house.
This new dragon had pale yellow scales and dark gray eyes. Her gaze was pinned on Lavender for some weird reason.
"So these are the dragons who were making racket?" She asked.
Comet shrugged. "Kinda. They were fighting some Skywings when I saved them."
"I doubt that." The unusual Sandwing said.
"It's true," Oleander said. "I don't know what we would have done if he hadn't shown up."
The Sandwing glanced at Comet. "Alright, well, what are you doing here?"
"Silver told me I'd find someone who could help us here." Lavender said.
"Silver? What did that idiot do this time?" She asked.
"Got himself kidnapped, as far as we know." Oleander said.
"Well, if you're looking for help, you've come to the right place. My name is Fox."
