Visions

I woke up the next morning feeling weird, not sick, just off. I got up, rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, and looked out the window to see the sunlight right in my eyes. Yeah, because that's exactly what a person wants to see when they first get up. I got out of bed, got dressed, and had pretty much put the email behind me at this point. But this day just got weird for some reason.

I was in the kitchen getting something for breakfast when I saw something out of the corner of my eye, a shadowy figure. I jumped a little and looked, nothing. I walked over to see if maybe my mom was messing with me, no one else was in the hallway. I was weirded out but shrugged it off.

Knowing I'd be meeting up with Sam and Kara for some Halloween shopping, I decided to just walk around town while listening to music. I noticed some people looking at me weirdly and tried to ignore it. I pulled out an earbud and started to say something but when I looked in their direction, no one was there, completely gone.

I was about to start walking again when a kid appeared in front of me as I turned. It was a little boy with a scared look on his face. I was caught off guard. Where were this kid's parents? Why was he all alone?

"Are you okay?" I asked, concerned. The boy was frightened and didn't say much at first. "You need to help me!" He shouted. "Okay, hey, calm down," I said, kneeling to his level. "You have to help us!" The boy shouted. "Us?" I asked before looking around. "Who else is with," I asked before turning back towards the kid. "You?" I finished, realizing the kid was gone.

This didn't make sense at all. The kid was right in front of me and wouldn't have time to get away that fast, right? I stood back up as a huge gust of wind blew me back a bit. "You have not won!" Nanny Clownface's voice screamed in my head.

I could picture her face, along with the glowing green eyes and rotting corpse. I began to panic as the wind died down and heard my phone go off, making me jump. I looked to see that Sam was calling and immediately answered.

"What the hell did you get me into?!" I asked in frustration. "Why?" Sam asked. "What's going on?" He asked. "I have been seeing things all day and now that clown just screamed in my head!" I shouted. "Oh that," Sam said. "There's a spell on the medallion that curses anyone who wears it." He said, calmly.

I got wide-eyed. "Hold up, wait a minute!" I said in frustration. "You mean to tell me this thing is cursed and didn't think to tell me sooner?!" I asked. "As long as you keep it away from her, you'll be fine," Sam replied. "Where are you?" He asked. "We'll pick you up."

I gave him my location, he and Kara came not long after. I got inside and we left for the Halloween store. I didn't want to wear the medallion, but couldn't get it to come off so I didn't have much of a choice. The weird thing is that no one even acknowledged it. Could've been the fact that it was Halloween season but still, it was weird.

We all went our separate ways, I went to check out some costumes that would hopefully go with the medallion. As I'm looking at a black outfit with a black cloak, I saw a skeleton face in the corner of my eye, making me jump. The skeleton laughed and it turned out to be Sam.

"Okay, that's not funny dude," I said defensively. "Awesome costume though," I added. We both laughed and saw Kara step out of the dressing room with a witch costume. "What do you think?" She asked. "Nice," I said. "Does this store always go all out for costumes?" I asked. "These are a crazy amount of details." Sam and Kara both nodded and we went to pay for our costumes.

As we stood in line, the medallion started glowing a weird yellowish color. Just as quickly, I started feeling lightheaded and dizzy. "Hey guys, I umm," I said, handing them my costume for when it was time to pay. "I'm gonna go outside," I said, starting to walk off. "Are you okay?" Kara asked. "Yeah, I just need to get some air," I said leaving the store.

I walked out and the dizziness continued and got worse. I saw a nearby bench and walked over. As I neared the bench, my vision blurred and everything went completely black as the medallion continued the yellowish glow.
