It had been a long drive despite Gary's house being closeby. The blond claimed that he had only walked on foot around the area or taken buses closeby so he didn't quite recognize his way back.

Some long minutes were wasted going the wrong way, ways that Gary would show only to find that no- the car didn't fit through that specific alleyway that passed by the weird shop with antiques that Gary usually passed by.

"Sorry about that" Gary slumped with a sigh once they finally arrived

"It's ok" Kevin said as he slowed down in front of the house instructed, it was a  nice beach house- which made sense since Quinn was a mermaid.

"Are you new to this area?" Avocato asked as he opened the his door and Gary's in which both Gary and Little Cato sprang out

"Yes...I guess you could say that" Gary nodded, smiling at the vebtraxian before turning to the house.

Everyone was curious, to say the least. Little Cato was bouncing in excitement to finally meet a merfolk, Kevin was honestly nervous- so much research done and now the moment had finally come, Avocato...he was afraid ofcourse- having a pocket knife ready in case it turned out Quinn was hungry and they were dinner.

Gary opened the door he had forgotten to lock (as usual) and stepped inside. He kicked off his flip flops and made his way to the balcony with hat in hand

"Make your selves at home" Gary smiled, looking back at the awkward trio before opening the balcony door

"Oooh! Is she there?" Little Cato rushed after before Avocato quickly stopped him

"...is she?" Kevin walked forth as well before bing stopped as well by Gary

"Wait inside" smiled Gary, a bit nervously.

He had decided on the spot that Kevin deserved to see Quinn but he had never warned Quinn about either of these people- he wasnt sure how everything would go.
Kevin decided to respect that, he had already waited a years- a few minutes would be nothing.

"Quinn?" Gary called down to the water, suddenly nervous. Quinn was pretty scary when mad and he didn't t want to upset her again.

Seeing no response, Gary went back inside and looked around. He picked up one of the decorations in the living room and examined it, it was just a small fake plant in a cute little pot.
Noddung to himself and ignoring the curious stares he walked back outside, throwing the little plant into the water.

He waited a few moments before he smiled as he noticed Quinn's shadow in the water

"Gary?" She poked out

"Hi! I found it!" Gary beamed, waving the hat "well-- I didnt found it- someone else did it, they were helping me and could've gotten badly hu--"

"Gary!" Quinn shouted before smiling "just give me the damn hat"

"Oh. Ok" Gary smiled softly, stretching his hand out before letting go of the hat.

Both watched the hat flutter down into the water, Quinn swimming up to it and taking it in hand with a sigh of relief.
She quickly swam to the small beach and placed the hat on, smiling as her tail split into two legs and stepped on the warm sand. She looked down at herself, her shorts magically appearing after placing on the red cap.

Gary watched from a distance before walking back inside and closing the balcony's door

"So...?" Kevin asked after a while

"Hm? Oh- she will be coming here" Gary smiled "might get mad though...." he frowned

"Then it's best we leave" Avocato nodded
