From my earliest years I have been appalled by the manner in which I have heard many parents talk about their new, or expected, baby to their existing child. Very few have (in my opinion) handled the matter well.

Jared has also been equally concerned by comments that he has heard in recent years (in all honesty, he says that he never really paid attention to these things until we had kids) and so, we decided that it would be a good idea to write about how we tackled this sensitive topic when it knocked on our door. We are far from perfect, and our life choices may not be popular, or relevant, to everyone, but there are some people who will benefit from this book.

We would like to encourage you to share this free book, freely and for free, with as many people as you can so that we can raise awareness about the importance and position of your existing child when you are expecting a new baby.

This book will (hopefully) cover everything from pre-pregnancy to after you bring home your new bundle of joy.

We are very excited about this book because it is our first real collaboration as co-authors. Jared says that this is the reason that this is a free e-book, because his opinion is cheap (I roll my eyes at him in exasperation as he says this). He's full of gems like that. (J)Yes I am.
