Jada
11:30 at night and here I was still waiting for Tyanna to bring Kalani. Another hour later and I heard a car pull in my driveway. I seen Tyanna get out with two over night bags when all I needed was one.
"Hey, I hope you didn't think my baby was coming here without me."
"No, I'm actually glad you came."
"Tyanna!"
"Hey Mike." They hugged each other tightly he took kalani from her car carrier holding her.
"Hey my beautiful niece."
"Say hey ma ma."
"She's beautiful, a perfect mixture of you and Jada."
"Thank you."
"Jada I'm gonna be gone for a bit, you two call me if you need anything."
"Ok." He left and there was tension between us. I didn't like it at all man, this a lady I love, have a kid with. My heart just wants to leap on her hug and kiss her make love to her and all.
"Tyanna?"
"Yea." She turned around looking at me.
"Remember the room I turned into yours, I kinda turned it into Kalani's I hope you don't mind."
"No not at all, thank you."
"You're welcome."
"Jada?"
"Yea." She looked me up and down wanting to say something.
"Uh umm, nothing."
"Let me get your bags." I grabbed the bags going up behind her. Seems like over these months she's gotten thicker, it looks good on her.
"Jada the room looks amazing, you did all this yourself?"
"With some help here and there. Though I did leave a little piece got you and me to do."
"Ok how bout we finish that piece tomorrow."
"Ok."
"Do you have a problem with sleeping together?"
"No it's fine."
"Ok." We stood silent as I scratched the back of my head. We watched kalani as she slept peacefully in her crib.
"How's Karen and the baby?"
"Good so far she's hid it from the sisters so far. Though she hasn't been around them either."
"Oh wow, when's the wedding?"
"In the next 3 months."
"Ok."
"Yea."
"Mind if I take a shower."
"No problem."
We were acting like complete strangers and I couldn't take it no more.
"Tyanna, wait just a minute. When you look at Kalani who do you see?"
"Me. Mainly you."
"I see you more than me."
"Yea."
"What I'm saying is—."
"I know what you're saying, about to say." She hugged me tightly I don't want her to let go not now not ever.
"Jada wada I love you."
"I love you too tiny tap."
"Follow me for a moment." I took her to my room closing the door.
"I was wrong in every way and I apologize. These months have been hard without you. You were right the disrespect, the hurt; I should've caused none of it. I knew better and I should've done better. I love you Tyanna and losing you is something I never want to do, kalani and you are my life. I need you to survive, mama Karen the first adult to openly say she loved me as her own. I messed that up and it's something I have to fix, I just want to start with you first. Let's work on us, fix this. I proposed to you and only you, I won't propose to anyone that isn't you. I love you."
She looked at me, leaning in to kiss me. Her hands place themselves on either side of my face.
"You're my baby, no matter what we'll work through it all. I love you." I picked her up going into the bathroom closing the door.
"Allow me to make it up to you."
"No baby it's ok."
"I'm gonna do it anyways."
"I should've known."
"Uh huh." I turned on the water putting in her favorite soap and rose petals.
"Here and don't ever take this off again."
"I won't." She kissed my cheek laying her head on my shoulder
I know I got some making up to do, regain her trust and all...
Karen
"Drew stop."
"Aww is the baby ticklish."
"Yes the baby is ticklish." He moved kissing my cheek.
"Valencia?"
"Boy don't play with me, but what?"
"How come you've grew up to be this beautiful."
"What you mean?"
"You were always beautiful but this just don't make no sense. You're incredible, your voice is mind blowing everyday I learn something new that you're capable of doing with your voice. You're smile is intoxicating even with the train tracks—."
"Hey!"
"You're beautiful Karen in every shape way and form. I'm honored to have you as mines, I love you."
"I love you too baby." I kissed him immediately falling for this trap I knew I was set up in.
A knock came at the door and I went downstairs to answer it.
"It's way late at night who could it be."
"Dorinda?"
"I needed to come see you."
"It's 1 something in the morning, couldn't it wait?"
"No."
"Well what's wrong, here I'll grab your jacket."
"Somebody's pregnant."
"You think it's who?"
"You."
