Issei saw these powers as sacred gears of sorts, they are given randomly, people can take it away but it leads to death. It reminded him of Asia and himself. Raynare killed Asia and took her gear, he was also a target and died painfully. He pushed these thoughts out of his head, these are memories from another life.

Pyrrah decided to wait till after the tournament, Autumn is in a medically induced come so she's in no pain. Pyrrah wanted to take part in the tournament with her team, she wanted to enjoy herself. Ozpin agreed. He's currently investigating the whereabouts of the missing mech. The atlasian soldier was found unconscious and he didn't know who knocked him out. Yang decided to go to the club junior owns and beat some info out of him after wrecking the place. She found the hideout where the mech is, she and team RWB along with Sun and Neptune go investigate. Roman found them lurking and attacked. Sun and Neptune took on the goons while roman tried to escape in the mech. Team RWBY stopped him.

Blake recognized that glass shattering, she saw it at the docks.

Blake: Neo.... You helped him escape the last time.

Weiss: what?

Blake: that girl, she was at the docks when the white fang stole dust. She helped him escape.

They later did some research, Neo is a mute criminal who has been working with Roman for years. All attempts to capture her have failed.

Time skip one week before the festival. General Ironwood arrived with an entire fleet! Issei looked out of the window from Ozpin's office. He sees a small ship land on beacon grounds, from it a woman with white hair is escorted by two military robots. She's talking to Ruby and Weiss.

(Issei: another ice queen. Must be her sister.)

He sees drama unfold when a man with short black hair appears, he's carrying a sword. He destroys one of the robots.

(Issei: so that's Winter Schnee and one of her family's signature semblance. Summoning what they killed..

Ddraig: those birds looks like small Nevermores.

Issei: Winter really is an ice queen herself. She doesn't feel like weight of guilt she should for killing baby birds..

Ddraig: but they are grimm...
