The collision pushed them away, Ddraig continues to repair the armour to make sure Issei isn't injured any further, Issei noticed that it's wounds inflected by ascalon heal slower than other ones.
(Issei: it has my dragon energy signature somehow so it's part dragon, thank you saint Michael. Ascalon is gonna give us the edge.
Ddraig: partner, it's as durable as you are, if not then even more so. It's slowly growing stronger somehow.
Issei: then let's take that power away!)
He tail whipped it's legs and made it fall, he punched it's knee sideways this breaking it. It grabbed Issei but it's strength was taken away.
Divide divide divide.
The hound felt weaker, Issei impaled it using ascalon and twists it, it's blood turns the white snow black, Issei fires a dragon shot at point blank range right to the head.
Issei: gotcha.
The smoke clears and Issei sees it's head rolled backwards, Issei removed the sword and sees the hound fall backwards.
Issei: *huff* not bad but not good enough..... I need to get patched up
He starts to slowly walk away and catch his breath. He didn't notice the hound stand back up and it's head popping back into place, Issei was about to dispell the armour until he was tackled with great force, the hound is on top of him and knocks the sword out of his hands. Issei put his hands up to guard him from the incoming strike, hound creates a thick stone rod with a burning tip, Issei can feel the heat, he wrapped his tail around the hound's neck and chocked it, he pushed it off of him and started pummelling it.
He punched it again and again while boosting but it kept regenerating. It was having trouble breathing. It clawed Issei on the face and half the helmet was destroyed but he didn't care, he cut off the limbs and continues to choke it, it let out a growl and Issei saw a lot of Grimm approach it, as soon as they all got close,
Boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost boost
Boom.
He fired a dragon shot and the explosion was massive, Issei was sent flying and did sustain minor injuries from the blast, he landed and skids for a little bit, he gets up and sees all the grimm are gone but isn't taking any chances against the hound.
Issei: SHOW YOURSELF!!
Out of the smoke emerges the heavily injured hound, its limbs have grown back but are thin and weak.
Issei: had enough?
It responded with a growl, Issei felt the ground shake a bit, several centipede Grimm emerged and a few are different, they are far bigger and fatter, they have the front limbs of a praying mantis but the biggest concern in the green glow coming from it's chest, one of them inhales deeply, Issei goes in to cut them down, the Grimm spews out the green glow at him, he immediately goes airborne to avoid the fluid, it hits the ground and smoke is seen.
Issei: acid...
Issei prepared another dragon shot but the hound has other plans, dozens of tendrils come out of its body and connect to the Grimm, it starts to consume them.
Issei: the hell?!!
It grows bigger, stronger and more aggressive. It flapped it's wings just once and it was already in the air, it's speed is crazy, it grew long claws and channels lightning through them, it ripped off Issei's chest plate and the electricity shocks Issei upon contact, the hound heel kicked him right in the ribs, Issei definitely felt his bones crack for sure. He was falling fast and the hound unleashed a fire breath, Issei used fire dust to counter it while stopping his fall, Ddraig continues to repair the armour and Issei boosts the fire power, it turns the yellow flame to red, it overpowered the hound's flame and burns him, he lands and so does the hound. Issei is sure that it can't regenerate when the wounds are cauterized but it proved him wrong, the cauterized flesh falls off and the sight is freaky.
