Whoever built the Motel Glen Capri must have been a twisted individual. An intense feeling of dread grew as the bus pulled into the parking lot. The seedy motel radiated a negative energy that made the hair on the back of Maya's neck stand on end. Her skin was crawling as she stared at the fluorescent lights of the sign advertising for the hotel. Whoever built it and its subsequent owners had to be twisted because there was no other reasonable explanation as to why it felt like a breeding ground for tragedies.

"I've seen worse."

Maya arched an eyebrow at Scott's declaration, "Where? Horror movies? I don't know about the rest of you, but this place creeps me out."

Stiles nodded in agreement, "Seriously, where have you seen worse?"

Not letting Scott elaborate, Coach Finstock shrilly blew the whistle that was always dangling around his neck. His launched into an announcement regarding their delayed meet and the fact that this was the only place with enough vacancies was met with a chorus of groans - Maya included. Ignoring the collective displeasure over their lodgings, Coach handed out keys while simultaneously yelling at everyone to keep their hands to themselves and to not engage in any sexual perversions.

"I'd be happy to bunk with you - since this place gives you the creeps and all." Isaac shot a sideways glance at the mermaid walking beside him. "Wouldn't want you to feel unsafe."

Maya snorted out a laugh. "Cute, Lahey, but I think I'll stick with the girls."

"Can't blame a guy for offering." He stuffed his hands into his pockets with a shrug.

She rolled her eyes, "In your dreams, Isaac."

The teen gave her a playful grin, "You probably will be."

Interrupting the borderline flirtacious banter, Lydia sauntered over and looped an arm through Maya's. The strawberry blonde shook her head and pulled the girl over to where Allison was waiting for them with a room key.

"Really?"

"I don't know what you're talking about Lyds."

Allison gave Maya a knowing look, "I think you know exactly what she means. You were definitely being flirty with Isaac."

The huntress winked and walked off in search of their accommodations. Maya moved to follow, but the arm joined with hers didn't budge. A terrified expression covered Lydia's face as she looked over the building. It was similar to how Maya expected her own face had looked earlier when they first arrived.

"I don't like this place." Lydia muttered.

Maya cast a wary gaze over their classmates as everyone hurried inside. "I don't like it either. This place gives me bad vibes." She gave her friend's arm a reassuring squeeze. "But, it's just for one night. We'll be out of here bright and early."

"A lot can happen in one night."

That statement sent chills down her spine, but regardless, Maya pulled her friend off in the direction of their room for the night. Inside the motel was just as dingy as the outside - the walls were in desperate need of a new coat of paint and the beds looked like they might break the second anyone put even the slightest bit of weight on it. Allison had already thrown her belongings on one bed and was pulling out an assortment of toiletries when the other two girls finally made it inside of the their room.

"Either of you need the bathroom?"

Perching herself carefully on the edge of the rather creaky bed, Maya shook her head. If the bathroom was as gross as the rest of this place, she would rather urinate outside in the bushes.  Lydia wrinkled her nose at the state of the towel hanging off of the bathroom door. She pinched the fabric between her thumb and pointer-finger, holding it far away in disgust. What had once been white terry cloth was now beigey and dotted with unidentifiable stains; a lingering stench of nicotine wafting into the air.
