Part 2- Church Camp?

I was sitting on the bus to go to camp aweegaway, everyone was singing apart from me. I just sat there awkward and uncomfortable. On the bright side before the singing, Avery introduced me to her friend Presley. She seemed nice so I think we will get along just fine. Once everyone finished singing they all cheered. I leaned over to Avery and said, "That was...um...interesting."

"Oh cmon! Your gonna love it here!" Avery said. Boy do I hope she's right because I can already tell it's gonna be a long week. Once we got there, there were about 6-7 buses outside with kids around my age maybe a tad older or younger. Everyone started to sing and dance again. I tried my best to get out of the middle and sit this one out but Avery pulled me back in. Good thing I took dance class before my family passed so I could catch on quickly.

I looked around because I felt a pair of eyes on me. I finally made eye contact with....was that the kid from child services. Oh my gosh. Great. I made one promise to myself to forget my past for the week and now Will. Ugh just great. Let's hope he doesn't recognize me. I gave him a light smile and continued to dance with Avery and Presley. We continued to dance and sing, when it was finally over, I found Avery talking to another kid in a green shirt so I ran towards her then I notice Will.

Avery turned to me, "Hey Mack!" She said with a smile.

I looked at her, "Mack?"

"Yeah it's my nickname for you" Avery said.

"Cool." I said. I turned to Will and the other kid. "So who are y'all?"

"I'm George. And this is-"

Just then we heard some one walk up to us so me and Avery turned around and saw another guy I've never seen before. Oh snap never mind that Sean, Avery warned me about him on the bus. So I'm gonna make sure to keep my distance from him.

"Newbies! Names Sean! And who might you guys be?"

George spoke up, "Sean- Sean's um squad this is Will he is my-"

"Cousin." Will interrupted. I gave them a weird look but shrugged it off.

"Ok cool." Sean said, "and who might you be?" He was looking right at me.

I wrapped my arm around Avery's shoulder and said, "We are also cousins. I'm visiting from New York for the summer." I looked up at Will and he gave me a confused glance but it looks like he decided not to say anything.

"Well nice to meet you." Sean said.

"You too." Will and I spoke at the same time.

Will turned to us, "So you guys are cousins?"

I pinched Avery slightly to say go along with it.

"Yes! We are cousins." We smiled sweetly at the boys.

"I just got back to the Arctic saving Narwhals!" Sean exclaimed.

"Narwhals?" Will and I asked again at the same time.

"I thought those were myths?" Will said.

"Yeah like unicorns of the sea?" I said.

Sean cut us off before we could ask anymore questions, "Majestic unicorns of the sea."

"Oh." Will and I said.

"I'm just doing my part." Sean said.  He turned to towards his "squad" and then turned towards me and Avery, "taking these two with me next year."

Me and Avery looked at each other and then said in unison, "What?"

Will said, "taking them?"

"Yes." Sean said.

"We actually never said that." I said.

"Alright Fellas." Sean said before starting to harmonize.

Will and George stepped back and me and Avery looked at each other. I chuckled lightly. When he finished Avery turned around scratching her ear.

Will asked, "Is he for real?"

George replied with, "Oh yeah he's very real. Anyway...." singing and dancing began, but this time I just stood in place and watched with Will.

"Anyway, nice meeting you." I said.

"Yeah you too." Will said with a slight smile. We began to walk in different directions and when the song finally ended Avery and Presley came up to me and squealed. "Come on!" They said and pulled me away while I said to Avery, "Wait you didn't tell me this was church camp!"

~No ones pov~

Somewhere at camp aweegaway Kristen (George's mom) walked into David's office.

"Hey David!" Kristen exclaimed.

"Hey!" David said.

"It's the last week of summer, are you ready?" Kristen asked.

"500 percent. Leaves and hearts will be changing!" David exclaimed.

"Yes! So what do you have planned for the tribunal?" Kristen questioned.

"It's pretty exciting." David spoke on a Scottish accent for his next word, "Braveheart."

"Well that's actually only one word." Kristen corrects.

"Oh."

"Here is Will Hawkins file." Kristen says with a smile on her face.

"Oh right..." he said.

"Social services put everything in there." She explained.

"What is this? Is this for real?" David questioned. "He tried to sell his school on Craigslist?"

"Mhm that boy got three offers!" Kristen exclaimed. David chuckles, "So...uh... is this kid something I have to be worried about?" David asked.

"I seem to remember a certain bad boy back in the day." Kristen chuckles lightly.

"Yes when I had a glorious head of man hair." David laughs.

"Relax Fabio. Will, will be fine." Kristen assures. "George is showing him the ropes. It's actually kind of cute."

"You got them staying in the-" David starts.

"Yeah the legit cabin." Kristen says with a slight tint of disgust on her face.

"Yeah it's um."

"Yeah it is."

"Oh yeah I forgot to mention me and Avery were also at child services last week and we brought a girl- Mackenzie- she is actually in a similar state to Will." David says.

"Oh I think we might have seen her then actually." Kristen replies.

"Yeah? I have a feeling both Will and Mack will get along nicely." David said.

"Yeah, she really did seem like a nice and good girl back there." Kristen says with a smile.
