LISA POV

I opened my eyes to the sunlight shining through the large windows of my bedroom. I did a little arm stretch in bed as I sat up to take a deep breath of cold air. Then I laid back down with the covers over my head and groan. I still hated being here on this damn farm.

I missed the city.

I got out of bed, a quarter to noon, and pampered myself nicely. I had to look nice to flirt with the country boy downstairs. There was no way I'd do that horrible farm work on my own so I needed to flirt my way through my time here. The only good thing was that Y/N was attractive, otherwise, this place would be no fun.

A buzz light up the screen of my phone, and I slide to pick up the call.

"I'm telling you, he was hot, okay?" Jennie said. I assume she was talking to the other three who were in the call with us. "Lisa, show them the farm boy."

I rolled my eyes.

"Why do you people always call me when I'm eating lunch?" Jisoo complained.

Ugh, lunch. The word and the fact that my stomach growled reminded me that I was hungry.

"At least tell us his name," Jennie said.

"Y/N," I replied and picked up my phone to leave my room. "Why are you calling about this again?"

"Because you should bring him to the city. He's probably been stuck on a farm his whole life so let's take him to a club and loosen up."

"Stop flirting with the country boy. He hates the city, he'd never agree to go."

"Can't we just go to Lisa? Her family owns the farm so can't we stay a few nights," Rosé suggested.

"No. No, trust me, you do not want to be here. I'm suffering as it is," I told them. I wasn't going to let my friends go through the pain that I felt after slipping on shit that first day. I shuddered from the memory.

"Good afternoon, Lisa."

I stopped in my tracked before passing the kitchen. I looked at the speaker and he smiled at me.

"Pancakes?" he asked and held out his plate of fluffy pancakes as he walked towards me. "Your mother made them, I'm just passing them on."

"It's him..." Shut up, Jennie. I hung up as soon as any of them tried to speak again and I shoved my ringing phone into my back pocket.

"Your friends?" Y/N asked with a smile.

"It's not like they matter anyway," I replied. I pulled him by the arm to the kitchen table and we sat down together. I propped my elbow on the table and looked at him.

"The weather's nice today. I was thinking we could go for that horse ride you asked me about before. Nia needs some more exercise so we could take her out after feeding the hens in the barn. Your mother asked me to show you what to do."

I reached over to feel the fabric around the collar of his shirt. He leaned a little closed when I tugged his shirt towards me. I didn't want to feed any chickens when I could get Y/N to do it for me.

"How exactly do you do that then?" I asked.

He put a hand on the back of my chair and came closer. It almost made me nervous.

"Put the food down and leave. I'll demonstrate," he said and suddenly stood up. He slide the pancakes over to me and walked away. Before he could leave the house, though, he glimpsed at me over his shoulder. "I'll see you outside, Lisa."
