But the book said.........
Anna
"Wake up...... wake up" I felt something poking at me. No I don't want to say goodbye to my slumber. "Ugh" is the only decipherable that comes out my mouth and with that I slowly crack my eyes open.
"Ahhhhh! Oh my mystics Arabella don't scare me like that." I told her while picking myself off the ground. "Sorry. I was just trying to wake you up, but as always it a chore trying to get you out the bed." I saw her cracking a smile,
"but I see your up now, so should we pack or eat first?" Arabella asked cocking her head to the side in thought. "Hmmm. Lets pack first then we'll eat. Alright?" Arabella eagerly nodded her pretty head.
Arabella and I have shared a room since she was she was born. As long I can remember we've always lived in our little house or a cozy cottage as some might say. It's always just been mother, father, Arabella, and me here, save for a few guest here and there and an occasional pet.
Our shared room wasn't that big it had Arabella's and my beds, with a vanity mirror father built, a chest, and a dresser with knick-knacks father gave to us from his journeys.
"Did father say how long we were going to be staying?" I asked Arabella "Don't think so," she said after some thought. I got up to leave the room and headed for the kitchen. Entering the kitchen I smelt mother's delicious breakfast cooking on the stove. "Smells amazing mother," I said.
"What in the world are you doing? Why aren't you dressed and ready? Stop idling in my kitchen and go finish getting ready we'll be leaving soon!" I opened my mouth to tell her my reasons for coming here, but her no-nonsense glare stopped me from continuing.
Grumbling under my breath I turned and left the kitchen. I guess the kind mother from last night died and went to the mystics because she's back to her usual no nonsense self. "Why are you still in your nightclothes missy? I told Arabella to wake you an hour ago."
Why is everyone so angry this morning? To keep my eye rolling at bay I just gave father a blank look. Father stopped mid rant and gave me a puzzled gaze. "I see you're done with your rant." I said with a smirk. With an exasperated sigh he asked what I needed. I proceeded to tell him that Arabella and I needed to know how many clothes to pack for the trip.
"A few days we'll buy some more along the way. So anyone who tries to track out scent we'll have a hard time." Father told me in a bored tone. As if I was to supposed to already know this.
Returning to the room I informed Arabella on how many clothes we needed. I walked to the pile of clothes I was deciding to pack and started to shift through. "Don't worry I already packed for you. I packed only a few but it seems that's all we need."
She told me with a blinding smile that would soften even the most hardened warrior's heart. Unfortunately, I was already used to this smile and tried my hardest not to seem ungrateful for her help. Did she think me a child who doesn't know how to help herself?
I put a forced smile on my face and asked why she packed for me when I didn't ask for her help. "Oh because I knew you were going to take a while so I wanted to take something off your plate. You know speed along things for you since you still need to get dressed and eat breakfast. Also you'll need to make your bed and pick up your clothes."
Usual Bella always the first one to help. Resisting the urge to roll my eyes at her I smiled and said thank you. With that Bella flashed me another blinding smile and headed out the door to eat breakfast. "Did want me to rebraid your hair again," she questioned. "Nope I think I can handle it myself," I told her in sugary sweet tone.
