Anna

I woke up so early, the sun wasn't even awake yet. Getting up, I wiped the sleep out of my eyes and braided my brown hair, into two French braids. I made my way to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth. Heading back to my borrowed room I decided to wear a gold dress.

By the time I was done getting ready the sun was up and the house came back alive. I could hear everyone moving about and getting ready. I was sitting on my bed when mother burst in, "Anna get your lazy butt u.... OH you're awake and dressed. How long have you been up?" I shrugged my shoulders to her question.

"Well we're having breakfast in the main dining room. So hurry up and follow me." I silently got up and followed and when we reached the room everyone was already sited. "Good morning Anna," everyone chorused "Morning"

"A miracle happened today dear, Anna was already up and ready when I came to get her" mother gushed to father. "Really my eldest daughter up and ready before ten. Thank the mystics." Father bellowed. "Then shall we raise a toast in Anna's honor," Cordelia added raising her cup.

"Hear hear" they all said. For some reason I wasn't in the mood for this today and it irritated me. Pushing my chair back I stood "I'm not really in the mood to eat this morning," I walked away from the table. "Anna?" my father questioned. But I continued walking to my room.

I stayed in that room till Corbyn came in. "Miss Anna may I inquire what's wrong?" "It's nothing I'm just tired," I said dismissively. "Then shall we stay another night in my parents' house." "No that's not necessary," I hurried out. "Well then it's time to go now," "Okay"

We said our goodbyes at the front door and I waved goodbye to Roderick from the window since he was the only one to not come down. "Oh and Peter your thank you gift is most delicious," Cordelia said with a fanged smile as she sipped her blood.

"Corbyn, love, your father is at the capital also so please say hi to him for me." Cordelia added. Today she was wearing something very modest a full length royal blue dress that practically covered everything on her. The twins on the other hand wore pants.

Turing away from Corbyn's family we continued on our journey to see grandmamma Magnolia. Corbyn headed our family procession onto the forest path. I was told we were a day's walk from the capital. Finally I thought. Arabella saddled up next to me, our steps in sync with each other.

I still wasn't exactly comfortable with her close proximate to me. My dream about her murdering me still fresh on my mind. "Don't you think the way Birch and Maple were dressed was inappropriate for young ladies like them. Pants are for men and dresses are for ladies."

I only shrugged at her comment. Sure I thought it was odd for them to be wearing pants, but they somehow managed to pull it off. Ladylike or not they looked nice. Arabella talked and talked the whole time we were walking. By the time we stopped for our midday's rest I was sure she talked my ear off.

Everyone drunk some water and sat down and rested. I sat on the opposite side of Bella not wanting to be in her presence anymore, but it seems she didn't get my hint and plopped down right next to me. So I decided to take the high road and stand up away from her. Still she refused to take the hint and moved to where I was and we continued back and forth till I had enough.

"Stop! Just stop Arabella. Can't you take one simple hint; I don't want you anywhere near me." I screamed. Everyone stopped with their conversations and looked at us. "What in the mystics is wrong with you? Don't you dare talk to your sister like that," Father commanded.

I started giggling and my giggles soon turned into a full blown laugh. I laughed so hard I had tears in my green eyes. "Miss Anna are you alright," Corbyn questioned with a concerned look on his handsome face.
