Breakfast with Wolves

Anna

The bathroom was magnificent the room had a row of about ten tubs and rows of mirrors and sinks. Three tubs were already filled and the room was steamy from all the hot water that ran beforehand.

After stripping our clothes mother helped me into the tub careful so that I didn't get my bandaged hand wet. This was mother's rare shows of compassion towards me, before getting in her own tub mother washed both Bella's and mine backs.

"And don't forget to wash your hair too and Anna I'll do yours for you." "Okay Okay you better get in your water before it gets cold," I told her so she wouldn't miss her chance to relax in the warm water.

A timid knocking was heard from bathroom door. "Come in," mother yelled. "Umm my name is Sheba and I brought your new clothes." She said with her eyes downcast and an obvious blush on her face in embarrassment.

"Where are your clothes," she asked shyly. Shifting mother sat up in the tub and pointed to the corner where our dresses lay. Looking up Sheba pushed her steamed up glasses up her nose and walked to the dresses picking them up.

"Can you not throw them away please? Just wash them and give them to my husband Peter, Sheba." At the sound of her name Sheba looked up, but quickly lowered her head when she saw mother getting out the water. Arabella and I started giggling at her childish behavior.

We're all girls here why is she so embarrassed. Hurriedly Sheba agreed to mother's request and left with her long black braids swinging through the door. Putting our wet hair up in towels, we got dressed.

Sheba had brought us three lovely dresses each one in a bold bright color. One was a shimmering red color, the other a rich blue, and the last a canary yellow color. Mother chose the red one that complimented her curves, Bella got the blue that cinched tight at her slender waist and mine that had a plunging neckline that showed off my chest.

When mother saw my dress, her grey eyes widened and she said I was to wear a shawl when we left the bathroom. Mother took a combed through Bella's natural golden curls and pulled them in a loose ponytail. Then moving unto my hair she finger combed and left my brown hair hanging on my shoulders.

Finally, she let her blonde hair from it's no nonsense bun and braided it so that it hung down her back. Mother then started to hum and picked in her nails this told me mother was nervous because she only ever does that when she's anxious or unsure about something. "Would you like me to pull the rope," Arabella asked her and mother nodded.

Peeping out into the hallway, I saw a little girl making her way towards me. She raised a brown eyebrow in my direction and smiled. Her hair was a chestnut brown color that sported wolf ears on top and was so short it was nowhere near her shoulders.

This looked suited her playful personality and her eyes that held an almost purple tint to them sparkled with mischief. When she finally reached the bathroom, she introduced herself as Dawn. "Wow! You guys really are pretty."

"What do you mean," Arabella asked, "Well everyone in the pack has been saying how beautiful you visiting purebloods were and it's true." She said with her brown tail swishing back and forth excitedly. "Well thank you for your compliment. Your also very pretty yourself."

Arabella stated while kneeling down to her height. Dawn let out a giggle and led us out the bathroom. Passing multiple windows, I could see the sky lighting up for the approaching sun and realized it was already morning. Dawn let out a long yawn and told us we were going to the dining room. "Have you been up all night too," I asked her.
