The young fox clenched the letter in his paws, tears forming in his eyes all this time he was being lied to. the date stamped on the edge of the paper the delicate handwriting it all made sense now everything made so much sense. he had come in here looking for something else but after some digging came across a sealed envelope covered in dust his curiosity led to him opening it.
The rain outside the small hut they set up for safety during these times was coming down hard, the clinging of the beads hanging on the door alerted the boy of someone else entering the room. turning his head he saw the one that lied, all these years he was lying to him. "you lied" was the first words out of his mouth, as he tried not to harm the letter in his paws.
"About what?" the man asked his son before his eyes settled on what was in the paws of his furry son. "where did you find that?" a tinge of anger was laced in his voice "I told you not to go through my stuff Fundy" he was trying to change the subject off the topic of the letter.
"D-Don't try and wiggle your way out of this!" the boy was furious, "mom wanted to meet me, all these years she wanted to take care of me and you" he couldn't find the words as he frowned. "you lied, every time I asked you lied" he mumbled. walking past his father he kept ahold of the letter refusing to look the man that has raised him for a few years in the eyes. this war they were fighting for this country was for someone that sold drugs from a van and lied to his own son.
Wilbur only sighed, running a hand through his hair. his son would get over this he would be happy come the morning, everything would go back to normal in the morning after the storm settled. they would settle back into their daily routine like always, because he knew his son. or so he thought.
Because come the next morning his son would be missing, and so would the two other children that were apart of this. he would soon realize how wrong he'd been, for even after all these years he didn't know his own son after all. for his son had left to set out to find his mother, and the two curious children had followed him along for the trip.
He could only hope that they were safe out there, for now he had L'manberg to worry about after all.
