The wood creaked under her bare feet as she walked across the deck, red hair blown by the wind as Sally got ready to start marking down the course of their next adventure. her bright green eyes looked around the ship as her own thoughts took her, four years ago she had been forced away from her daughter by her ex husband. he had exiled her from his nation all because she suggested they give up on it and travel the world out on the sea free from the brewing danger, together with their daughter by their side. she never understood why he was so against it, so against spending time with her but in the four years apart she began to realize he never truly loved her.
Though even after all this time she had hope, two months ago she had sent out a letter in hopes he'd respond and bring their child with him so she could spend time with the one they had given life to together. his response was nothing, she got no letter back from him no reply and she assumed after four years of nothing he had moved on and was happy. breaking away from her thoughts Sally took notice of the group boarding the ship, Darren with three children all looking around the same age in a sense.
One however stood out, it made her breath get caught in her throat. there stood wearing what seemed to be a strange uniform was her kit, she was certain it was despite the appearance now. the more male take on clothing the way she no he stood in front of her Sally was well aware she no longer had a daughter no she had a son. a son that looked about eight years old was still only five years old even with how fast he appeared to age.
"Fun?" Sally spoke her voice shaking as she held back the tears she didn't realize were trying to fall, she took a few steps towards them almost as if her child wasn't there. "is it really you my little one?" she hoped this wasn't some sick joke and he as well was hoping this wasn't all just a dream.
No words formed from the fox as he let go of the hand he was once holding, leaping forward into the arms of his mother his own tears not stopping. the two held each other for what felt like hours as the others watched the embrace of mother and son, Puffy whom had been coming from her captain quarters stopped seeing the embrace however her eyes found themselves locked in on the boy with brown hair that stood with the two blondes.
It was no mistaking who that was, taking steps down she made her way towards him white fluffy hair getting blown by the breeze that passed. the young boy flinched when her hand met his hair before he accepted the embrace as she ruffled his hair with a smile. "it's nice to see you again my little duckling" she spoke with a small smile as the boy looked up at her with a curious stare.
"Do I know you?" Tubbo asked with a frown, the touch was familiar to him as he allowed her to ruffle his hair but at the same time the child was confused as to why he felt so safe around a complete stranger. Puffy frowned at this sad he didn't remember, but she had to remind herself it had been many years since she's seen her son, not since she dropped him off to be watched by her old friend all those years ago.
"I'm not surprised you don't remember me my little duckling" she spoke removing her hand, "However I'm a bit disappointed in the fact Phil forgot to tell you of your origins, honestly that man has a bird brain I swear" she chuckled. the caring in her voice the way she joked Tubbo began to remember the faint memories of when he was younger, the reason he was in that box to begin with.
"Mama?" he asked, at the small nod he moved closer to her butting his head against her side in a sign of affection. she only chuckled at his behavior, ruffling his hair once again all these years he still had a family out there and he was happy to have found them again. his curiosity to help Fundy lead him here and he was glad it did.
Tommy stood awkwardly beside the dirty blonde hair female, rubbing his arm as a frown was etched on his face. the young hybrid never knew his birth family, found in a tree by Phil when he was a baby and raised with the mans sons Wilbur and Techno the blonde truly never felt like he belonged. he saw the way Phil treated Techno better than him and Wilbur and well Wilbur was the mans actual son. seeing what was happening now kind of hurt, he was jealous of them and the fact they got to have their real families.
Darren wrapped her arm around the young hybrid with a sigh, "I know how you feel kid" she spoke, pulling him closer despite his protests. "but keep in mind join this crew and you have a family, one that will be there for you always" she removed her arm, "up to you if you stay or go".
Tommy watched as she left the ship leaving him to take in her words, he wondered if what she was saying was true. maybe it was for not even a moment later Tubbo had tugged him over to the white haired woman whom ruffled his hair just like she had for her son, maybe joining this pirate crew wouldn't be half bad.
