Blood And Friends Lost

We left the science block to go get Jess and Molly in drama after checking for no zombies. There were dead students, teachers and random people lying around and some people were running out through the doors, but we knew outside would be worse. That's where they came from.

"I hate to think what outside would be like" Rachel said, being in school would probably be safer at the moment..

"I don't even want to think about that" Andy said, cowering behind us, defenseless except for two girls trying to protect us all.  

We came to the drama and music block, we heard screams and growls coming from a music class room opposite the drama class we needed to get to. Fuck...I could see Andy hide behind us whilst Rachel looked hesitant. Didn't blame them really.

"Come on, don't be pussies, we just need to be quick to get into Molly and Jess' room" I instructed them. "We'll run and shut the door straight away, there's another door in their drama room that leads to the field where we'll hopefully find Sian and Jay alive and hiding behind a tree or something" I said, they'd probably climbed a tree knowing how scared they'd be.  

Once we were ready, Andy grabbed my free hand and we ran for the drama room next to the zombie invaded music room. We were in before anybody noticed us and locked the door. Rachel locked the door with the key she found on the desk near the whiteboard and went to look in the drama office for Molly and Jess.

"You can let go you know" I said to Andy who quickly ripped his hand away from mine.

"Sorry" He said, embarrassed, I walked to the office where Rachel was looking around.

"They're not here?" I asked. Rachel shook her head.

"What if they got them?" Andy said, beginning to panic again. "What if that was them screaming in the music room?" He exclaimed, pointing in the direction of the screams, still continuing but getting quieter. More people were dying and turning into zombies. What a fucked up day this has been.

Before I had a chance to answer, a voice came from above us. "Guys? Is that you?"

"Jess?" Rachel and I said in unison, rushing out to look at the top floor where the costumes and props were kept. It was like a balcony but inside so we could see up there.

"What the fuck is going on?!" Molly demanded, crying.

"We saw Luke.." Jess said silently, not her confident self. She looked like she had been crying too.

"I know, I saw him too, why are you up there?" I asked.

"We ran up here and locked the doors, the zombies couldn't climb up here, they tried to but their arms were ripped straight out of their sockets, it was fucking disgusting" Molly said, trying to hold back more tears and pointing at the arms on the wall, still clutching the bits of wiring that hung from the balcony, there was lighting and sound equipment up there and the teachers let the wiring hang so it didn't get in a mess up there.

"Holy shit" Rachel said, disgusted.

"My words exactly" Andy added.

"Come down, we need to find Sian and Jay" I told them, they nodded and walked down the stairs that led to a door into the actual drama room.

"Where do we go?" Jess asked.

"Outside" Rachel said, sounding terrified already. I found walking sticks used for props and handed them to everyone without a weapon.

"We need to go" I said when I noticed the screaming had stopped and only growls were left. "Like now" Suddenly we heard pounding and scraping at the doors as the zombies tried to break down the door. "Go!" I shouted and we all ran for the door to outside. We didn't care at this point that there were zombies out there eating year 7s, we just ran until we got to the school field.
