Aline pov

I've thought about this long and hard and finally came to a decisive decision. I'll be going to London with Marquez, I can't imagine a life without him no more and I'm ready to support him even if it means resigning my job here.

I stood behind Mr Rodriquez as he shook hands with some investors after the three hours meeting we had. We're planning on opening another branch in Miami and it takes a lot of work, I wonder how Mr Rodriquez will be able to cope without me?

Oh please Aline I bet he won't care...

After the investor's were gone, I followed him to his office and laid some after plans for him for the rest of the day.

"Is that all?", He asks me after I was done speaking.

"Yes Mr Rodriquez".

"Okay then".

"Mr Rodriquez umm....can I have your attention please?".

He looked up at me as I handed him my letter of resignation in an envelope neatly. After reading it, he sighs.

"So you're resigning huh?any reasons?".

"It's- personal and I think my time here is due as well......I think it's high time for me to explore and have my own business".

"I want to own my agency one day".

He smiled. A hint of proudness showed in his face, I really missed the friendship we used to have but now it's just tensed emotions all around us.

"That's not a bad idea".

"I already set up an interview for my post-",

"Will you be interviewing them?".

I nodded.

"Good then".

"Mr Rodriquez you're a great man and I appreciate the time I spent here with you-",

He chuckled dryly, "Hey what's the sudden speech?".

I smiled continuing, "I was a college dropout, I didn't have the chance to finish college due to lack of funds and you didn't judge me infact you went easy on me......I checked all your past assistants and they were all highly educated".

"I still wonder till today why you picked me amongst all groomed ladies that day?".

"You were groomed too Aline, you answered all my questions with all honesty, you were sharp and immaculate......I knew you were fit for the role and you didn't dissapoint". He grins.

"Thank you very much for giving me a chance in your company, I appreciate our friendship and I know it can never be the same anymore but I really do care about you Hector".

"Wait did you just call me by my name?". He laughs surprised.

I was surprised too. This is the first time calling him by his name in a space of three years.

"And it honestly feels so good". Our laughter filled the room.

I'm glad he's so happy though, seeing him always smiling from ear to ear I can see he and Patricia are finally together. Speaking of Patricia, she came in and I almost choked on my spit.

She glances at Hector and back to me, she's definitely confuse as why we're laughing.

"Baby you didn't tell me you were coming". Hector beamed at her.
