Patricia's pov

It was another day at my office studio. My fashion show is finally tomorrow and my ad video is also complete! Hector did a fantastic job better than what that bitch Aline did! I loved it and I'm really glad everything about the fashion show is falling into good places.

"You're smiling again Patty". Sophia said to me and handed me a coffee.

"I should! Hector did a wonderful job, no-one is going to skip my ad, the aesthetics is beautiful!". I showed her and she smiled too.

"Yeah yeah you've shown me this hundred times today, what I want to know is why do you keep talking about him hmm".

A frown crept my face knowing what she meant, "Hector is my friend and recently he's been really there for me.....more than anyone has ever, he's such a good listener too and also very understanding...... he's gentle and nice and very kind-",

"And what?". Sophia laughs at me, "Tell me everything Patty, tell me how you like him and have feelings for him too".

That had me shaken up, "What?! Don't say such Sophia! I'm engaged to Marquez, he's the only one on my mind".

"You're in denial but it's okay", she handed me an invitation letter I had her to do, "Anyways who's this for? Marquez?".

I shook my head, "Nop it's for Hector".

"You want him to be at your fashion show tomorrow?why?".

"Why not? As I said earlier he's my friend and he deserves to be there, I owe him a lot of things". I flushed a little thinking of Hector.

I would've gone miserable if Hector hadn't been by my side. He shows me the affection and care Marquez refused to give me.

My mom Claudia came by, I smiled widely seeing her.....she has never been to my office before, Sophia excused us to talk.

"It seems everyone is busy here, no-one even acknowledged me". She said while starring at her acrylic nails.

"Tomorrow is my fashion show, I've worked long and hard for this-",

"Oh it's tomorrow? I thought it was in a month from now".

"No mom I told you and daddy it's tomorrow". I mumble to myself. "you didn't pay attention as always".

She smiled at me, her smile not reaching her eyes. "I'm sorry darling, I just had a lot on my mind".

You always have a lot on your mind....

Regardless, I'm happy she's here! I don't mind gisting her on everything I've been working on. I passed her the file-magazine my team made,

"What's this now?".

"Check it out mom, it's the styles of the models......I created it all, you like it?".

She closed the files and sighed, "It's nice but where's your engagement right Patricia? don't tell me you lost it!".

I glanced at my fingers. I dropped it off at home simply because I don't want to misplace it,

"It's a diamond ring from Marquez, you should value it!". She scolded.

"Marquez doesn't even wear his mom".

"It doesn't matter, he's the man......they always try to act nonchalant with those stuffs, you should always be the one to care". She explained.
