I looked up to see Ariana standing in the doorway with a shocked yet smiley expression. Lauren got off of me and couldn't help but cover her face. "No, don't bother, baby girl." Ari said to Lauren. "I'll leave you two alone, but you better hurry because your family wants to go out for the night, y/n." Ariana giggled before closing the door.
"Well that killed the mood." I groaned sitting up on my bed.
Lauren turned towards me and crossed her legs. She pushed my hair behind my ear and smiled before slowly pulling her hand away and setting it in her lap, "What are you doing tomorrow?"
I shrugged, "I dunno yet. I think I'm supposed to go to the beach with Camila and the other girls. They invited me the first day they let me sit at their table. Why? Do you already want to leave me?"
She frowned, "Oh, okay." Then her smirk slowly started to build, "And no. I have all night. Unless you want me to leave."
"Nonsense, Lo. In fact, I'm going to need you to come downstairs with me before they start hearing rumors that we are fucking up here." I got off my bed and extended my hand.
Lauren only took a second before she grasped my hand and pushed her shirt down with a smile.
We went down the stairs and my whole family was just standing around the table laughing. "So, how was the game?" I asked wondering if Ariana already told them about what she saw.
My Dad was smirking, "It was great." He pulled me in a hug, "And so were you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you there. I was kinda into the game."
I shrugged, "I could kinda tell."
He extended his hand towards Lauren, "Great to see you again, dear."
She met his hand and smiled, "You two, sir."
He laughed, "Sir? I'm hardly 40. You can call me Jack like everyone else does."
"Okay," I broke into the conversation, "Ariana said you needed me, but if not I can just go back and watch TV."
I could hear Ariana giggle to Frankie in the corner, and I shot them daggers to shut up.
My Dad smiled, "Yeah. I want to go out to eat since our guests will only be here for 2 more days." He looked over to Mom and smiled, then back over to Lauren. "Would you like to join, Lauren?"
Lauren looked surprised, "No. No I can't impose on you all."
I looked at her cheekily and spoke in her direction not leaving my eyes from hers, "Quit being ridiculous, Lo. You're coming."
"Ooooo, y/n has a girlfriend." Grayson mocked me to Dylan causing them to both chant.
Dylan started yelling, "Gross, someone has cooties now. You're nasty, y/n."
I gave them an evil stare then looked to Lauren, "Don't mind my little brothers." I sent them another mad glance, "They're just little bugs that I'm going to squash when they least expect it."
"Only if you could catch us, ugly." Grayson laughed.
I stomped on the ground causing the two brunette, blue eyed children to scramble out of the room.
"Stop it, y/n." Mom complained.
I rolled my eyes and smiled, "So, are we going or not?"
Dad couldn't help but laugh a little, "Let's get in the car before y/n kills someone."--
We went to this half-vegan/meat loving restaurant because Ariana won't eat anything else. I sat between Ariana and Lauren, and in front of my parents. Lauren had my hand in her lap and she kept tracing her index finger over my palm because she was feeling a little nervous.
After we got our drinks, my Dad and Mom felt more comfortable to interrogate Lauren.
"So, Lauren." My Mom spoke up after taking a sip of her sweet tea. "How was your day?"
Lauren gulped after taking the sip of her drink then smiled, "Um it was pretty good. How was yours ma'am."
"Ma'am? Wow, y/n. Your girlfriend is very polite." Mom looked at me, "Call me Stacy, please." She replied to Lauren with a warm smile.
I stirred my drink with my straw, "Mhhm." I quietly muttered to myself.
Dad chuckled, "Since you didn't deny it, I'm guessing you two are really dating now."
I looked up at him and flared my nostrils, "That's really how you bring up this topic?" I joked.
"Well, if I didn't do it now it'd be pretty awkward to do it later." My Dad smiled taking a sip of his drink and pushing his gelled hair back.
"It's awkward enough." I mumbled.
My Mom smiled knowing I was annoyed and embarrassed. Both of my parents loved to fuck with me. "So, Lauren, how about we get to know you since you're dating our only daughter." I looked to Lauren who was unfazed and just nodded. "Oh great." My mom cheered. "So how long have you been openly gay?"
I slammed my hand on the table, "Mom, that's none of your business."
Lauren put her hand on my lap, "It's fine, babe." Babe. She just called me babe in front of my parents. My heart was racing a little too hard. "I never really had to come out. My parents were really accepting and didn't really care how I saw myself. As long as I was sensible, they didn't care."
"They seem lovely, darling." Mom smiled. "Okay, so what do you plan on doing once you're out of school because you're a senior, correct?"
Lauren nodded, "I don't know. I kind of want to study to do something in writing or reading. I love books with a passion."
"That's cool. Looks like you found a keeper, baby girl." Dad said to me causing my face to heat up. Lauren bit her lip and smiled to me. "So, have you had a lot of girlfriends?" He had no sense of boundaries.
"You don't have to answer that." I told Lauren, "They are just really nosey."
She smirked, "Not particularly, no. She was the first girl I told ever said I've liked so, there's something special there." She breathed a deep breath out that she had obviously been keeping in. "And that's the first time I've ever admitted it to someone, too. So, there's a first for everything."
I squeezed her hand to kind of comfort her to tell her, 'hey thanks cutie'.
"Well, that's good." My Dad said with a relieved expression.--
Lauren went back to our house and stayed to hang out with Frankie, Ariana, and I but had to leave around 1AM because her Mom was calling her.
"You want me to walk you out, Lo?" I asked the punk looking girl.
She smiled, "Sure, kid."
I walked her down to the door and to her motorcycle. She was so perfect and amazing. I learned so much about her tonight. Every time she said something to me, those rumors about her reputation were brushed away even more. People don't know Lauren or don't choose to try. She's not that bad, although the stuff she does is considered to be bad.
Lauren pulled me in by my waist and our faces were only centimeters away,"So, since you're going to the beach, are you gonna send me some pics in a bikini?"
"You wish, Jauregui." I scoffed.
"Yeah, I do." She replied before pressing her lips to mine and savoring each second.
The front door opened, but we didn't move until I heard Ariana's voice, "Your Mom told me to tell you two to break it up." She laughed before slamming the door.
Lauren pulled away and smiled, "Text me tomorrow?"
"No." My sarcasm was spilling out. "I thought I'd just ignore the fact that I have a girlfriend now."
"I like the sass, baby. It's hot." Lauren retorted with a smirk before kissing my forehead then hopping on her bike. She looked back at me after she started it, "I'll text you when I get home."
I nodded and with that, she peeled off down the road.I can't believe I have such a bad ass girlfriend.
