You guys obviously know what this is about, with the Falcon and Winter Soldier coming to an end and Sam becoming Captain America officially, I gotta tell you about the time and wierd stuff that happened during the run... Lets just say some weird stuff happens.
Firstly, how did Sam become Cap, long story short Steve's Super Soldier stuff get drained so he is just an old man and can't be Captain America. It was a pretty big deal, he became like the chaperone to the Avengers and just relaxed.
That's when Steve gave Sam the shield in a similar fashion as the movies. So, Bam. Sam's Captain America.
This was around the time when Marvel was SPICING things up with new "Legacy" heroes. This would include people like Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Thor (Jane Foster), Riri Williams and many more.
So, the people and most of the first few issues deal with the transition from Falcon to Captain America. It involved weird thing like girls scout. I also only read the first five issues and the All New All Different Avenger which he is a part of.

Anyways it was really good at first but then this weird stuff happened. I mean just look at it for yourself.

Yup, they turned him into a werewolf for... reasons. Would it be shocking to tell you this isn't even the first time a Captain America was a werewolf?
But, I guess he did get a partner who is a bird/human person, poor guy.

He set up a hotline to help tackle problems in the country. Kind of cool if you ask me. I guess it would also be a lot easier to find targets and help people who need it.

He also kissed Jane Foster Aka the Thor at the time. It was really weird as you can see. It also keep coming up which is really weird and is never expanded upon.
Now for the part I didn't like. So, Sam's Captain America series was continuing and stuff but then because why not, Steve went back to being young and took back the mantle of Captain America. But because they still wanted to have the other seres say Captain America they were both Caps.
Also this is important but Red Skull did some weird cosmic cube stuff and Captain America became a double agent for Hydra.
Strange, yeah. But then turns out that Civil War two happened. Which I'll give you a quick run down.
So The not-mutants have this kid who can see the future and they have started to lend him to other major heroes to help. (Which is kind of making me question whether they just did that to get him known to the normal comic reader or just cause that how Inhumans are treated.) So he gets vision of bad stuff happening and they manage to stop it. Captain Marvel get the idea that this is important power and they could lock up criminals before they commit crimes.
Which is not a good idea, Iron man think they should analyze the kid before locking people up, like what if it's only 50% accurate or something. So they had a big fight. Miles was supposedly gonna kill Steve, who no one knew was Hydra. Someone else dies, which is Black Widow for some reason. I didn't read the ending but something something kid becomes one with the universe.
Sam was team Ironman and Steve was doing whatever Hydra does. Then Hydra Cap took over the world, Nice Steve came and fixed thing. The end.
After all this Good Steve takes back the mantle officially and Sam goes back to Falcon and Torres wasn't even told that Sam was using Falcon. Rip.
Sam doing whatever it is he does anymore, and Torres is a part of the Champions. Although they are doing some Calling all Caps thing this summer. In which all past Captain Americas which includes John Walker, Bucky, Same and some new guy to find his Frisbee. IDK anymore.
Anyways hope this helped you understand a little about Sam's time as Captain America. I'm most likely going to do this for every Disney+ series like Hawkeye, (Which I'm reading it REALLY good.) and Ms. Marvel (Best girl) and anything else.
