"WATCH OUT!"

George pulls you out of the way of a massive snowball flying directly at your face conducted by Fred.

"Thanks George." You say breathlessly, your cheeks getting rosier from the cold weather.

"So Y/n who's the lucky fella taking you to the ball." Fred says as he starts rolling up snow to create what looks like it will be a snowman.

"Can't say that anyone is going with me at the moment."

"What? No ones asked you yet?" George joins the conversation now helping to roll the head of the snowman.

"Well I suppose Adrien asked me at Quidditch practise the other week but I had to refuse." You answer.

"Ahh waiting for that special someone are we?" Fred teases.

You think to yourself how you are secretly waiting for Draco to ask you but what comes out of your mouth objectifies the idea.

"No. I'd um just rather not go with him that's all."

The twins exchange mischievous glances with each other.

"Anyway who'd you two ask?" You say trying to flip the question around.

"Angelina."

"Alicia."

"Sounds like it'll be a good night for the both of you then." You try covering the jealousy that they've found dates and you haven't.

"Don't worry I'm sure someone will ask you soon". Fred reassures you.

"Yeah and if things were different maybe I would've asked you myself." George says nudging you then giving you a cheeky wink as he walks past to get two sticks for the snowman.

"Ta daa!" Fred and George jazz hands in the direction of the snowman feeling rather proud of themselves.

"It's missing something."

You walk over to the snowman and unwrap your scarf from around your neck and place it onto the snowman.

"Now it's perfect."

"What would we do without you eh Y/n." Fred says.

The sun starts to set as you make your way into the common room, no one's there as they must all be getting ready to have dinner in the Great Hall or already there.

You walk over to the crackling fire, your nose and cheeks scarlet red and hair damp from the snow. The fire has never felt this warm.

You make your way to the dorms to get a shower and change into some dry clothes.

After your shower you settle on blue denim jeans, a green spaghetti strap top and a black oversized cardigan.

Once you enter the Great Hall you notice Cedric calling you over to his table.

"I feel like I haven't seen you since the first task." You tell him slightly annoyed but knowing he probably has his reasons.

"I know I'm sorry Y/n, I've just been busy with revising for the N.E.W.T.s exams on top of preparing for the tournament and I-

You cut him off before he gets to finish "It's ok Cedric I understand you don't need to explain yourself to me, I've just missed my best friend."

Your words make him smile.

"Well then let me make it up to you." He says passing you some bread."
