You step out of History of Magic to see Cedric waiting besides the door for you, just like you asked.

"Let's eat outside." You grin at your best friend. He nods and the two of you make your way outside to the courtyard.

You both take your robes off revealing your school uniforms and place them on the wall before also taking a seat, once you're sat on the wall you spot Draco talking to Theo Nott and Blaise Zabini, he has an annoyed look across his face but he tries to look away.

"So, are you excited for the tournament?" Cedric asks unwrapping a few sandwiches you took from the great hall to share.

"It's only a few weeks away, i'm quite excited although please try not to get hurt." You say reaching for a sandwich.

"Don't worry about me I'll be fine, although I can't promise that I won't come out with a few scratches. He says, which is probably true because the Triwizard Tournaments are very tough and even life threatening so to say he'll get a few scratches is the least to say.

"I still wonder how Harry's name got in the goblet." You take a bite of your sandwich.

Cedric takes another bite of his sandwich "Can I let you in on a secret?" He says covering his mouth.

You furrow your eyebrows at him and he leans in closer looking left and right around the courtyard before saying "My friend put his name in the goblet, only as a joke though, we didn't seriously think that he would get chosen."

So that's why he was acting so strange that evening.

You look at him repulsed by this information "Cedric Diggory that is low especially for a Hufflepuff!"

"I tried to talk him out of it, honest I did but he wouldn't listen." He tries to defend himself.

"You knew about this, you could've snatched the parchment out of his hand if you really wanted to stop him."

"Y/n I'm sorry."

"Don't apologies to me you should be apologising to Harry or better yet the two of you should." You start to pick your robe and throw it over your arm, you grab a sandwich and make your way to the corridors.

As you take a turn around the corner you notice Draco storming up to Cedric, you pause and observe from behind a pillar because you don't want the situation to get worse.

"What the hell did you do Digorry?" Draco growls to Cedric.

"It's none of your business Malfoy." Cedric's voice is calm, he clearly doesn't want it to get worse either.

Their words become quiet and muffled so you get closer to listen.

"It is now Hufflepuff because I swear if you so much as to hurt her you will regret it." He says gritting his teeth.

Cedric let's out a loud sigh "Let me guess, your father will hear about it." He almost mocks Draco, this doesn't really seem like something Cedric would say but his hatred for Draco is extremely strong.

"My father could destroy your family name!" Draco snaps.

You pace over before this escalates any further. "Ok boys that's enough, we should start making our way to our classes, Cedric don't you have Divination and Draco we have Care of Magical Creatures let's go." You say swiftly, grabbing Draco's arm and walking to the corridors.

"I must say Y/n, I like it when you're bossy." Draco smirks.

You look at him and roll your eyes trying to hide your smile.

As Hagrid leads the class into the Forbidden Forest Luna makes her way towards you and Draco and starts to walk with you.
