The next day Peter and I had to go back to school. It was a little awkward because we randomly left without warning for a few weeks.

When we came back we had A LOT of homework, Well Peter said it wasn't that much for Midtown Tech, but I've never been to a real school before so for me it was way too much. At least it was easy.

A lot of people kept coming up to the both of us and asking about Germany. Most of these people I've never said a word to yet they came up to me like we've been best friends for years.

The halls were full of banners and posters advertising for the upcoming dance. Homecoming was coming up in a week.

My English class ended and I was putting away my books when someone came up to me.

"Hey you're Lily, right?"

"Uh yeah why?" I still had to go by my fake identity at school, just in case. I looked over at him. He was pretty short and had longish black hair and a big nose.

"I heard you went to Germany with Penis Parker"

"You must be Flash."

"Why have you heard good things about me?" He smirked and winked.

"Not even close." I laughed. "What do you want any way?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go with me to Homecoming?"

"Oh...uh... no" his facial expression dropped.

"What?!"

"I'm going with Peter"

"What?! You're going with Peter?!"

"Yeah. Sorry." I closed my locker and walked away. I walked into the library and went to the back and started laughing so hard I almost peed my pants

"Adeline- uh I mean Lily? What are you doing?" I was now kneeling on the ground with my hand over my mouth still laughing

I took a deep breath and said "Flash just asked me out" Just saying it made me laugh even more.

"What?" Peter bent down beside me

"He asked me to Homecoming!"

"By your reaction I'm guessing you said no..."

"Obviously!" Peter started to laugh with me but not nearly as hard as I was.

"Who are you going with any way?"

"No ones asked me. Aside from Flash but that's never gonna happen. Why?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go with me?"

"I'd love to!"

"Okay, great!"

——— Lunchtime ———

Peter and I lined up and got our food. Flash was beside Peter which was a little annoying because he kept making comments about how the food was "for poor people".

"Hey Lily was that your dad that picked you up in a rusty old car? Are you too poor to afford a car that's not falling apart?" Is he that insecure that he has to call me poor because I wouldn't go to Homecoming with him? Pathetic.

"You probably can't even afford a school lunch!" All right. This is too much for me. I couldn't think of the perfect thing to say so I did the next best thing.

I pulled my wallet out of my back pocket and handed the lunch lady a 100 dollar bill.

"Oh- it's only $10.35"

"Keep the change" I smiled. "Oh, and I'd like to pay for his too." I said pointing at Peter. I handed the lady another hundred and looked over at Flash. His jaw dropped and he froze. Peter and I walked away and sat down at a empty table.

"Where did you get all that money?!" Peter whispered to me.

"Robbed a bank."

"What?!" He whisper yelled

"No of course not! My dads Tony Stark dummy" I whispered back. I made sure to be extra quite on the second half of my sentence. I couldn't take any chances. I'm just glad Flash wasn't around to hear me.

As soon as I thought that Flash came over and sat beside me.

"Jesus Flash what now?" He was really starting to piss me off

"Where did you get all that money?!" He said in almost a panic

"200 dollars isn't that much money first of all. Second don't you brag about being rich all the time?"

"I- uh" he stuttered

"And What is your problem? Are you that insecure that you have to call me poor because I rejected you?"

"I am not insecure! I'm rich!" He said defensively.

"The amount of money you have doesn't affect how insecure you are. Now leave me and Peter alone."

"Okay geez no need to be a bitch"

"Just because I speak my mind doesn't make me a bitch." Flash got up and silently left.

I could tell by the way he was walking he was butt hurt. Serves him right.

When the bell rang Peter and I walked out together. We sat down on the bench we first met and waited for Happy to come pick me up.

"You know what I just realized?"

"What?"

"You've only been at my house once"

"Really? Only once?"

"Do want to come over today?"

"Sure!"

"Great!!" He got out his phone and texted May saying that he was going to my house for a while.
