Two months Later (February)
Ari's Pov:
After a few months sleeping on the streets and taking showers at the gas station I finally had enough where I could pay for a week in a hotel and still have enough in my savings. I finished up all my school work for the year and rushed my diploma cause I didn't need that stress. The hotel I was staying at was called "South Loop Hotel", it wasn't the best but it will do. After my shift at the corner store I went to the hotel.
Receptionist: Hello welcome to South Loop hotel, how can I help you??
I swear this lady voice was so monotone it don't make no sense she should've picked another job if she didn't want to be here.
Ari: Umm can I book a room for a week
Receptionist: A queen size room starting as 20 dollars a night and King at 30... So if you book a queen for a week it will be 140.00 and that's including taxes and King is 210.
Ari: I will take the queen..
Receptionist: Okay, here are you keys. Oh, and just to let you know there is a refrigerator in the room but no microwave but it's one in the kitchen in the lobby. After 9pm no one will be down here working so don't lose you key card you won't get another one until the next shift start. Everything else you should need is in the room.
Ari: Alright thank you Miss
Today was Monday which means I worked morning shifts at the store so it was light outside when I arrived. After I checked in the room wasn't that bad...even if it was I was in no position to be picky, I immediately took a hot shower and went to sleep.
I woke up around 10:30pm...I can't believe I sleep that late, I must really needed that sleep. When I woke up I refreshed myself a bit and then I took my plate that Samir gave to me, it was some meatloaf, mashed potatoes, macaroni with some cornbread and cabbage. I went down to the lobby to heat it up and get a drink from the vending machine. When I went into the little snack room/kitchen and started heating up my food I could here people coming in the entrance and heading up to their room. They were loud and sounded like they were drunk, it didn't bother me because I knew that a lot of people come to hotels after the club in stuff. A little while later my food was done and I started heading up to my room.
As I got on the fourth floor and start heading to my room that was on the whole other side I hear arguing...loud arguing. One thing I forgot to mention is that no one barely comes to this hotel that's why it's so cheap.
Random 1: YOU GRIMEY BITCH!!! YOU SET ME UP!!
Random 2: I had to do what I had to do... don't take it personal.
Random 3: Aight Diamond go pull the car around and wait out front for us
Diamond: Sure thing
Then I hear a door close...these wall must be thin cause even though I heard the door close I didn't see it. At that point I tried to rush to my room to avoid running into someone. As I start speed walking I was about five doors away from my room I was almost there.....
POW!POW!POW!
Gunshots... I started sprinting to my room and right went I was about to use my key card two males busted out the room. They didn't even have a mask on or nothing...
Random 3: Choppa call the clean up crew
Choppa: Aight
They even said they names omg wtf, I try to be quiet as possible hopping they didn't notice me.....
Ring...Ring...Ring
My fucking flip phone starts to ring in side my pocket...I can't catch a break!
Choppa: Top look (he said while pointing at me)
Top: Get her.....NOW!
At that point I knew I wasn't going down without a fight... I just wished that I could've ate my food first. I dropped everything in my hands and took off! When I say TOOK OFF!! Im talking SHE'S A RUNNER, SHE'S A Track Star!!! I ran down the hall and turned that corner so fast it don't make no sense I seen the elevators and decided not to wait for them instead take the stairs. As I was running down the stairs I was counting the floors I past I finally made it to the second floor, one more to Freedom!! Then I hear the door bust open....I THINK TF NOT YOU TRICK ASS BITCH!!! Choppa tried to tackle me... I shook his ass... NOT THEY TRYNNA PICK ME UP!!! I thought I was free until this nigga Top jump on my back and knocked me down. I then just started swing... I was throwing hitmakas they was trynna dodge them but I was fast. I ended up kicking Choppa in the nuts, just as I was about to take off this nigga Top stuck me with some needle. Whatever it was make me feel as if I weighed a ton and couldn't move, I collapsed. I wasn't sleep just really relaxed I couldn't even talk...Choppa picked me up over his back while Top followed. All I could think about is why did I bring my ass to this fucking hotel...I was better on the streets. It was a big black escalade outside, Choppa open the door and pulled back the seat and laid me in the last row and then got in the backseat while Top sat up front with the girl named diamond.
Diamond: Who is this bitch???
Choppa: Someone who witness what happened.
Diamond: Why yall didn't kill the bitch? Yall know Boss ain't gone like this...
Top: Bitch I don't like you!!! Stfu and drive remember your place!!
Thats all I heard before I passed out.
