"You have got to be kidding me." I spoke, closing the door as I walked all the way into Joseph's office.

"Mother, what are you doing in here?" Mother was sitting extremely too close to Joseph and they looked up at me.

"Sofia, baby, what are you doing here?"

"Momma I came to talk with Joseph about something important. Why are you here? Does Katherine know you're here?"

"Yes, she knows I'm here. Why I'm here is none of your business. I'm a grown woman little girl. You better watch who you're talking to. Got that?"

"Mother I wasn't trying to come off as rude or disrespectful, I just find it odd that you are here in the middle of the night having a 'chat' or whatever this is with Joseph." She got up and I finally got a look at what she had on.

This was not acceptable. What she has on is inappropriate for a 'chat' with Joseph.

"Mother what do you have on?" She looked down and started to giggle. She stumbled over towards me and I caught her just before she fell.

She's definitely drunk.

"Joseph what did you give her? What did you do to her?" I frowned as I struggled to keep my mom up.

"I didn't give her anything. We just had a few glasses of wine. That's all. What did you want to talk about." He spoke as I finally placed her in a chair.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow. Stay away from my mother." I spoke as my mom started to throw up on the floor. "Great. Just fucking great. How much wine did she have?"

"Three bottles." My eyes grew twice it's size and I walked up to Joseph hitting him upside his head.

"What the fuck? Are you crazy!? You know what, I have had it. I'm tired of this. I came here to talk about Janet. I'm just going to tell you now. Janet is not pregnant. She did that to save face for myself and Michael. Our business will stay between us. Janet has done nothing wrong. Her life is great. She's doing great with her music, it's the only reason Michael stopped being in the light, only to let her shine. I'm leaving now, and so is my mother." I struggled once again to carry my mother out of the office and to the door.

"Misses Katherine, Michael and I will be here tomorrow. I'm going home now. Good night." I spoke to Katherine as I exited the house with my mother.

I put her in the car and strapped her seatbelt.

Breathing heavy as I enter my side of the car, I buckle myself in and drive to my parents home.

Once there, I run to the door and knock on it. Daddy opened the door and I rushed him to the car.

"Daddy, mother is a mess. Did you know she left the house and went to Michael's parents home? And look at what she has on. This is ridiculous."

He sighed and shook his head.

"I'm sorry daddy. I'll help you with her. Do you want me to stay the night?"

"No that's alright. I got it. You go on home and get some rest."

"Okay daddy. Love you." I kissed him on the cheek as he took her out of the car and began to walk toward the house.

I watched as she tripped over her on feet and walked, with his help, up the porch steps.

When he got to the door and entered it, I pulled off and headed home.

I walked into the house and checked on Serenity. She was peacefully sleeping. I also checked on Janet and Nick. They were asleep as well.
