"Am I able to go home today? I want to see my fiancé. I miss her." I looked at Tom as he walked about the room, gathering things.
"Not yet,"
"Not yet?? 6 months, 13 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 9...10...11...12 seconds I have been without her. I won't stay another day. I can't."
"You have to, just one more day Michael. This isn't over, my job isn't done here and I can't let you go back until then."
"Have you forgot that she's pregnant and I have 10 and 12 month old daughters waiting on me!! I missed out once again. How come I can't spend one pregnancy with her and by her side, catering to her every need, mood swing, or cravings? Every time she gets pregnant something stupid has to pop up and ruin things for either her or me or the both of us." I stood and walked up to him. "I can't take this anymore, Thomas. I need her to be by my side. I don't care what the circumstances are. I need to know where she is and how she is doing. I need to know if she's okay."
"And I get that Michael, here I'll compromise with you."
"What."
"You give me three more hours and in return I give you Sofia. I let you go stay with her."
"Fine, but if you don't stick up to that "compromise", I'll seriously hurt you."

"Sofia when are you due?" Bella asked, dipping her tortilla chip into the spicy Mexican dip.
I sighed and rubbed my stomach . . . more like caressing it.
"A month and 12 days."
"Well, what are you having!" Cassidy asked excitedly next.
"Don't know."
"What do you mean "you don't know"?" Avery asked with a frown.
"I wanted it to be a surprise, you know. I had Serenity when I was 25 years old. Michael had just had a baby two months before. He was and still is 29 years old back at the time that all happened. It didn't feel special to me and by being surprised, I think it will this time."
"Wait, so there's a four year gap between you and Michael?" Cassidy asked.
"Yeah, he was born August 29, 1958, and I was born January 30, 1962."
"Does that bother you? I mean the age difference. Does it bother you at all?" Avery asked
"Why should it?"
"I don't know, I just always thought you'd go for someone your own age or a year older than you. Not four years older than you."
"Avery, age isn't anything but a number. Michael's age doesn't really matter to me. His heart, his personality, just him period is all that matters. You can't help for the ones you fall in love with. It happens. It's apart of life."
"That's true." She said looking at me. I smiled and continued to rub my stomach.
"So, have you heard from him at all? Has he called?" Bella asked seriously, breaking the happy mood.
"No, and even if he did, it wouldn't matter. I've been pregnant for 8 months now, and once again he misses out on it. Maybe this is a sign, yeah it has to be. Maybe I'm not suppose to have his kids--"
"What!" They all screamed, making me jump out of my haze.
"What is up with you girl?" Bella spoke looking at me crazily. "You and Michael were meant to be. You and him were suppose to have these kids. Things just happen. Think about it, the last two times you were pregnant was Michael there?"
