14. Lost path

Aroosh POV:

I was sleeping peacefully until the alarm rang. It's time for my flight now. I quickly got ready and went downstairs with my luggage.

"Mom!!" I screamed and went to hug her as soon as I saw her.

"Have a great trip son." Dad said.

"Thank you dad!" I said and went towards him and hugged him.

"Be safe." Mom said.

"Okay mom don't worry." I assured them.

"Call us as soon as you reach there." Mom said as I was about to leave.

"Ok mom, rest assured." I said and left the living area.

I reached near the car and this time my driver drove me towards the airport.

Payal POV:

As soon as I woke up, I quickly dialled his number as I want to hear his voice badly. My day can't start without hearing his voice.

As soon as I dialled his number, it said that the number is not reachable. I got confused and dialled again but this time also it was not reachable. I tried a million of times but failed. I even messaged him but he didn't received.

I then checked the time and it was just 20 minutes left for the college to start. I panicked and immediately went to freshen up.

Thankfully I got ready within fifteen minutes and went out.

"Beta(child), have your breakfast." My mom said as she saw me rushing out.

"Sorry mom, I don't have time now. I will eat it outside." I said and quickly went out.

Unlike other days, this time also I was late. During every lecture, I tried hard to concentrate on the lecture but my mind was stuck on Aroosh.

I checked time to time if he called or not but he didn't. He even didn't received my message. I was very much upset.

During lunch period, I was sitting in rhe canteen waiting for a notification or a call in my phone. My food was still kept there in table untouched.

Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder which bought be back to this world. I turned around to see Priyanka.

"Hey girl!" She said with a cheerful smile as always.

"Umm.. hi!" I said with a faint smile.

"Why are you so upset? Won't you eat your food?" She saud with a worried face.

"No, I am okay!" I said and went out from there.

"Payal! Answer me! You are not like this." She said while following me from behind.

"I am not in the mood. Please, just leave me alone." I said.

"No, you have to answer me. I am your bestfriend." She said.

Now, I was really irritated.

"Will you please leave me alone?" I raised my voice towards her.

This was the first time, I was behaving like this towards her. Saying this, I immediately left that place leaving her dumbfounded.

"I am really sorry Priyanka, but I am not in my right mood now." I mumbled while running.

I reached the nearby tree outside the college and tried a lot to contact him but failed.

A few tears fell down my eyes. I couldn't believe, what I did to see this day. Then, some beautiful memories about this place came to my mind.

It was the same place where we met. That day, he was about to crash me with his car. A smile for ed on my face as I remembered that beautiful day.

Then, I remembered what my mom said.

"Is he really gonna leave me?" I wondered.

"No, this can't be true. After making me fall for him blindly, he can't do this to me." I said while crying hard. I sat down there, under the shades of the tree while crying hard.

My mind was not stable at that moment. I regret yelling at Priyanka, but I can't do anything now. I wish I could share everything with her.

Aroosh POV:

After a long and tiring journey, I came back to my house and threw myself on the sheets. It was already 8 pm.

I needed a lot of rest. I slowly closed my eyes and went to dreamland.

The moment, I woke up, it was already morning. Wait? What?

I slept for so many hours. But I had a great sleep. I got ready, prepared my breakfast and went to my office.

"Good morning sir!" My employees greeted me as I entered.

"Good morning." I said with a beautiful smile and went to my office.

I called my secretary and asked her to check all my schedules. She nodded and went to her desk to check my schedules. After a few moments, she came and gave me all the information about my schedules. I nodded and asked her to go and work.

I sighed and started working. It was already lunch time. I had been working since a long time. I needed to take my company to the highest position.

Tomorrow, I have a meeting with one of the biggest business man of our country. If the meeting would be successful, then we would work together. I was so much happy. I won't let this meeting go worse. I would make sure that it would be a successful one.

I was having my kuch and suddenly I remembered about Payal. She haven't called me since morning. I took my phone to dial her number but to my surprise, I couldn't find her number. I frowned and checked again but failed. Then I remembered that some of my contacts were missing and one of them was Payal.

I sighed heavily and threw my head back in frustration. Now, I could only talk to her once I reach Delhi. I don't think that this year, I could visit there. I have a lot of meetings and work. If all the meetings and deal would be successful, then our company could get first position. Now, all I have to think is of my work. I can't leave my work inbetween. This is a golden opportunity for me.

I would meet her once I reach Delhi. Before that, I should give all my focus to my work. Once I meet her again, I would definitely propose her. I thought and continued my food.
