27. Convincing Mom

It's 3:55 pm. Mom had prepared most of the famous delhi dishes. I was very much relieved that she is finally ready to accept Aroosh with all her heart. I also wore an elegant outfit.

The moment, the clock fell on 4, the door bell rang. He is too fast. I was about to go, but mom went to open the door.

It was strange. She opened the door and Aroosh looked nervous infront of her. I got to know that he is scared that if mom is ready to accept him or not.

"Come in beta." Mom said him with a smile.

All the worries inside Aroosh's eyes had gone now and he was smiling brightly.

"Yes mom." He came in.

We both sat on the couch.

"Have this." Mom insisted him to have some food that she made.

I was smiling watching mom take care of him.

"Uhm.. aunty, I wanted to say something." Aroosh said with a nervous voice.

"Yes beta?" Mom asked giving a smile. His nervousness was gone when he saw her smiling.

"You may not like it, but me and Payal are dating." He said and looked down.

Mom looked at me and I nodded.

"Are you happy with this?" Mom asked me.

"Very much." I replied with a cheerful smile but inside I was very nervous.

"If both of you are happy with this relationship, then I don't have any problem. I am ready to accept this relationship, but you have to promise that you will keep my daughter bappy." Mom said.

"I promise aunty, I will always keep her happy." Aroosh said with a smile.

"I am ready to accept you. When are both thinking to get married?" Mom asked.

"We were thinking to talk with both the families." I said.

"Ohk, does his parents know about this?" Mom asked.

"Not now, but they are always after me to get married." He said in a sarcastic way and mom chuckled.

I was too happy to see her accepting him. He was a gem of a person. All of them were laughing and giggling. They all decided to visit his house tomorrow.

Mom, me and dadi will be visiting his house tomorrow to meet his parents.

After a while, we went to have dinner.

"Aunty you are an amazing cook." Aroosh complimented mom's food.

"Thank you dear." She said with a smile. We continued gossiping while having dinner.

It was now time for him to return back home.

"You will come tomorrow at 4 pm." He said as we went near his car.

"Yeah."

"But, how did your mom accept me so easily?"

"It's all because of dadi."

"How?"

"It's a long story. I can't explain you."

"Is it?"

"Yes, now go home safely."

"Too much care about my safety?"

"Yeah!"

"Ohk, bye! We will meet tomorrow."

"Hmm, bye!" I said.

He was about to open his car door but stopped on his track.

"What happened?" I asked out of curiosity.

He turned towards me and gave me a forehead kiss.

"I can't forget this." I said and drove away leaving me blushing like a tomato.

I touched my forehead and went home smiling.

Aroosh's POV:

"Mom, I am back." I said as I entered the huge hall of my house.

"What took you so long, and where were you?" She asked.

"I went to meet someone special." I said smiling while dad chocked on his food.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" He said while getting up from the dining table.

"She is soon to be my wife."

"We never met her. How can she be your soon to be wife?"

"I went to meet her family today."

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"It was because, her mom didn't accepted me at first place when we became friends. So, I thought to impress her mom and then talk to you about it."

"Did you impress her?"

"Yes, it was all because of her grandmother."

"How?" He asked while I explained him the whole matter.

"Are they coming tomorrow?"

"Yes, they are."

"I am too excited to meet my future daughter in law." Mom said.

"Ohk, now let's have dinner. We will prepare everything for them tomorrow."

"Mom, actually I had dinner at their place."

"Ok, so go and get some rest."

"Yes mom." I went to my room.

I checked some files and worked on them. I had to return back Mumbai next week.

Within this week, I have to do my roka. I have a lot of work there.

I finished all my work and checked the time, it was 1:30 am now. I sighed heavily and slept.
