A little complicated / Janet x Katrina

Mommy toddler daycare/Janet's P.O.V.

Last week mommy toddler daycare had been cancelled because of Katrina's fight with Roger's girlfriend or whatever she was. Today was the first day back. I woke up to find myself being snuggled by Katrina. We'd recently been waking up like this but since I didn't want to stop having her arms wrapped around me so I didn't dare say a thing.

I carefully lifted her arm off of me to leave. I got to the kitchen beginning to make cereal. Mommy toddler daycare started in one hour. Surprisingly Riley hadn't waken me up last week which meant I got some time to myself. I poured out my milk and put my Cheerios into the bowl.

"Hi Janet. Riley is asleep. She had a nightmare last night but Sergei and I comforted her. I hope you slept well," Misha informed me tiptoeing into the kitchen.

"Thank you Misha. I slept well. How about you?" I asked.

"Good. Mommy toddler daycare starts soon, I am quite excited." He told me as I started to make him some cereal.

"Morning Janet. Morning Sergei," Katrina stretched one arm over her head. She was quite fit. I knew that by the way she would snuggle me tightly.

"Morning mom. I was just talking with other mom." My face turned red.

"Excuse me?" Katrina asked exactly what I was thinking.

"I thought you two were dating." Misha said. Thankfully at that exact moment Riley and Sergei opened their bedroom door.

"Morning mommy." Riley ran up to me clinging onto my leg like a koala.

"I heard you had a rough sleep." I bend down lifting her off my leg and into my arms.

"Yeah. I was scawed but Misha and Sergei helped me. Fank you!" Riley said to the boys.

"No problem my princess." Misha bowed down. Aw they were so cute. They were such close friends.

"We need to get ready for the day, kids go get dressed. Me and Janet will make you something to eat," Katrina shouted and I placed Riley onto the floor.

As soon as Riley's out of the room Katrina whispers into my ear.

"I know this may be out of line but I took Riley's frozen shirt and hid it. I saw how much it was frustrating you that she didn't wear anything else so I hung a nice little outfit out for her."

"Thank you," I replied.

30 minutes later me, Riley, Misha, Sergei, and Katrina were all piled in Katrina's car at Tim Hortons. We would still be able to be early to mommy toddler daycare.

I couldn't stop thinking about how Katrina had easily gotten Riley to wear something other than her frozen top. I really wished Roger had been more supportive like her. He instead always made me out to be the bad guy with simple things like trying to convince Riley to eat her vegetables so she could "grow up to be big and strong like Elsa".

We arrived in front of the mommy toddler daycare Center. I looked around to see two cars I didn't recognize.

"There must be some new c–h-i-l-d-r-e-n." I was used to having to spell things out so Riley doesn't know what I'm talking about.

"Sergei there is the possibility of there being new children. Perhaps you can get a girlfriend." I was not used to having someone else there to tell Riley what I'm talking about.

"I am sure that I will get a girlfriend before you ask out your bride to be." Sergei responded gaining a glare from his twin brother.

"Boys are weird." Riley chimed in.

"Preach to that," I snorted. Katrina gave me a look that made a big blush spread across my cheeks.

"Let us go see who the new people are," we exited the car walking into the mommy toddler daycare centre. After we signed in and walked to the daycare room we claimed five seats. Carol and Karen was already there with Buddy, Texas, Diamond, and Hunter.

"I hope the new moms like us," Carol whispered to us.

"I really couldn't care less." I responded.

"What about you Katrina?" Carol asked Katrina.

"Eh. Moms liking us does not matter. I just hope that they're not that annoying." Katrina responded.

Amy walked into the room followed by two other women. One of them had long black hair and a slim physique, her demeanour looked like she was a no nonsense type of woman. The other one also had a slim physique but had short blonde hair and a bright smile on her face.

"O, het," Katrina whispered at a barely audible volume.

My question for the book is who do you think those two women are?
My question for you in general is what is one reason you ship Katrina x Janet? I think I ship them because I have always had a thing for the protective strong woman in series having happiness.
