Emilia's POV

I boarded the plane, sitting next to this sweet old woman. During the ride she offered me tea and some sweets but I surely said no, not knowing the fragile lady. The plane started its landing process and I could see toy figures everywhere, they were actually people.

"We have just arrived at Kingston upon Thames." I heard the speakers announce.

As crowds of people raised from their seats and started out, I packed my carry-on bag and finally got off the plane.

It had been 30 minutes since I got off the plane and my baggage still hadn't come, I was getting worried. But then I saw my suitcase on the floor of the airport. I ran up and grabbed the suitcase, then walked outside feeling fine about the day so far.

It was 5pm in England but only 12pm in New York, I still hadn't adjusted. I rented a car and started on the road, driving to the Air BnB I booked a few weeks ago. All of a sudden I could hear the engine pop, "this stupid rental." I got out of the car and opened the hood to see puffs of smoke covering my outfit and face.

"Great." I stood outside leaning on my failure of a car trying to figure out what to do. Multiple cars passed by so I look at my phone, but I hear a car pull over.

Tom's POV

I was on my way to grab some croissants from my favourite bakery when I saw someone on the side of the road. That someone was a girl who looked about my age and very lost. I pulled over, and got out of my car.

"Everything okay Love?" I asked politely. Her face shot up at me and I gazed into her emerald green eyes and studied her dark chocolate hair.

"Oh um my rental failed me. Im Emilia" She put out her hand as a grin grew on her face.

"Tom, Tom Holland" I smiled. Did she not recognize me?

"Well what happened here?" I said looking at her car.

"I think something with the engine, not sure though.." she replied.

I walked over to the opened hood and looked inside. "They did you dirty, the car rental place."

"Is that so? Totally didn't realize" she said sarcastically and giggled. Her laugh was contagious.

"I would call them and get a refund because this isn't drivable, nor safe." I looked back into her emerald eyes.

"Thanks." she dialed the number and it started to ring. At the start of it, her voice was calm but then things started to accelerate.

"What do you mean no refunds?!" I could tell she was mad, then she hung up and looked at me.

"What happened?" I exclaimed.

"They said they will come pick up the car but no refunds." she explained sharply.

"Oh god. Sorry about that, need a ride?" I hoped she would let me drive her somewhere, she was the only person who didn't recognize me on the spot.

"I don't want to be any trouble for you, plus I have my suitcase." she looked up at me, I was taller than her.

"No, no it's no trouble. Let me do some good for you after that horrible phone call."

She sighed, "are you absolutely sure?"

"Yes, now pass me your things." I smiled.

Emilia's POV

I was still debating on whether this was a good decision as I got my suitcase from the back of my rental. I had no clue who this guy was but I did feel a connection, it's like I knew him for my whole life, even though we met only minutes ago. I handed him my suitcase and placed my carry-on in my hands.

"I think that's it!" I walked to the passenger seat but when I sat down he smirked and then I realized.

"Wrong seat love." He said trying not to laugh and opened the door for me, then he sat in the driver's seat.
