The Successor Has Been Chosen

Izuku's statement confused the I-Island scientists known as David Shield. David had not had heard of blockers like this. He had heard of some that were mental due to trauma and physical limiters such as cuffs were a thing as well, but Izuku, he was different. His quirk was different from anything that was ever brought to him to research. Now the scientist in him was excited to the see a new found data sitting in his living room, but his father side is also wanting thrall the new data that was, for lack of better words, going to use his daughter to get stronger while helping her get stronger herself if she accepted her godfather's power. David hated that she was essentially going to be used by this boy if she went with Toshinori. Toshinori had looked at his old friend and goddaughter hoping that maybe, just maybe, that he would let Melissa join the ranks of those who had held the power. Melissa was too busy blushing from the kiss to even think before something in her made her kiss the boy who had kissed her moments earlier.

This action confused everyone in the room, more so David than anyone. Izuku growled into the kiss with such a low tone that it almost sounded like a feral animal, but one thing that confused everyone was the laugh coming from the boy's father. Toshinori looked at the teens with an embarrassed look and coughed into his hand to get their attention which failed entirely. David looked at the teens with an almost irritated look until they broke apart  for air. 

"Izuku, you need to get that dragon of yours under control or you'll end up a father before you begin high school," commented Hisashi through his laughter.

Izuku looked away blushing at the comment with Melissa doing the same. David looked at the teens and commended them to separate before turning to his employee. 

"Okay, what's going on with your son now? I get that her presence would bring out some things in your son, but I never thought it'd be this."

Hisashi looked at the group and chuckled, "Sorry about that David. He never had a problem with heat till now. That's probably what she unlocked sense she is closest to an age to be wed than his other girlfriends so far." 

"Wait so their age also effects what they unlock? I thought it was their personality or the importance of the ability. I mean the first thing I unlocked was my senses then there was my transformation and fire breathing. Their age never crossed my mind. I mean Himiko is a little older than me but she still only unlocked my senses not anything sexual like Melissa just did," said Izuku to the people in the room. 

"Well, again, I have said that your abilities could be unlocked by your mates based on importance or simply necessity. I don't understand though why you going into heat is the fourth one to unlock. I figured it might be your dragon's intelligence."

"Wait you mean to tell me that his intelligence becomes less when he is in his dragon form?" asked Melissa.

"Well yes and no. My dragon is it's own being. His ability to speak to me went away around the time I started school. Not long after that I stopped being able to speak using his form. It's like his conscience form overtakes my physical form and that is my dragon form. He guided me through situations when I first started training, but I haven't heard him sense I started Primary school. Sense then it's more like he takes over our brain and because of this we haven't been able to speak in his corporeal form. It's not that he's dumb and unable to more like he has been prohibited from speaking thus blocking me from speaking in that form," explained Izuku. 

Everyone listening was a little confused about the sheer ability of the boy's quirk. All Might looks at the boy with a contemplative look on his face. He turns to everyone and walks up to Midoriya before placing a hand on his shoulder. The gesture, while appreciated, confused Izuku as to why the hero had a look of realization before laughing. Everyone was looking at the hero like he had gone insane. That was until he grabbed Melissa in for a hug, and saying words that brought her to tears.

"Melissa, I am sorry for not being here to train you more than what I can. We have ten months till the entrance exams for UA. I promise that, if you take my quirk, I will do everything in my ability to not only train you for the sheer power of this quirk, but whatever may follow," All Might looked at the group and bowed to his old friend. "David, please let me train her along with Torino so he can correct wherever I mess up. I know he could help us more than I can do by myself."

Izuku seeing the actions of the hero decided to take a stand before bowing and grabbed Melissa's hand, "Sir, if allow her to come with us to Japan to train, then you have my word that I will not let any harm come her way. I realize you don't know me and have every right as her father to question me and my intentions, but I promise you that I will treat her like the queen she is. I will do everything I can to protect her and treat her well."

David looked at two people in front of him, and to say he was speechless was an understatement. He was completely frozen by the two degrees presented in front of him. One came from his best friend while the other came from a boy who had kissed his daughter right in his face. David looked the boy's father, who was taken aback from his son's actions, and then turned to his daughter, who was blushing but had a look of plea in her eyes. He knew how much she liked to invent things, but also knew she mainly did it to help people. This was an opportunity for her to do what she always wanted to do directly instead of just giving tools to those who could do it in person.

"Toshinori, please," David had took a deep breath before continuing. "Take good care of my baby girl. I know the training is going to be rough, but please take good care of her." 

Toshinori had raised his head and looked at his god daughter with the question written on his face. She met his eyes and smiled with a quick nod. He had his answer and he had a smile across his face. While their silent conversation had came to a close, David looked at the boy holding his daughter's hand and began to give his response to the boy in question.

"Izuku Midoriya, I'll entrust my daughter to you. Don't make me regret this. You seem like a good kid and it takes courage to ask a girl's father for her hand in marriage so soon."

Izuku and Melissa had a blush completely covering their faces at the last part of the statement. Hizashi was laughing his ass off at his son's expense, and All Might had looked at the young couple with a smile before looking to his friend. "Why not give them the ring that you used to propose?"

Melissa had spoken up before her father could, "Um, I would actually like to be proposed to when you give me One for All."

With this statement it came clear to those in the room that .....
