As the Dove weeps in her broken nest, the Monkey comes in to comfort.

'Although my marriage to Sovieshu was out of convenience; I still hold love for that man...why... do I feel so...heartbroken? It's expected for an emperor to bring in concubines, but I feel as if he has abandoned me for that other woman.'
The Empress of the Eastern Kingdom kneeled in her seat made of branches and shed tears. The blonde haired woman had regret ever holding attachments to him. She had all this weight on her shoulders. Yet—she could not ask for help. Navier was the empress after all. This was her job, her purpose—what she was born to do. But the woman was only human. Her weakness was her soft heart, ironic isn't it? A mind of stone yet a heart made of glass. So delicate, almost anything could break it.
It was a pitiful and disgraceful sight, to see an empress in this vulnerable and weak state. Fortunately it was the middle of the night and to her knowledge, she was isolated from any prying eyes.
However, a pair of deep crimson eyes stared at the empress. They glowed like a flame of fire. The person observing Navier covered their body in a silk red cloth—and their face by a thin fabric.
The pure loneliness the empress was feeling, had the said person's heart feeling empty. They could relate to the isolation, the feeling that no one could support them. The two had very similar in common, yet one had finally gathered people that care—while the other was stuck in a void of schemes and manipulation.
So while Navier was stuck in her depressive daze, the figure in red softly walked over and embraced the female. Navier had slightly broken out of her daze when she saw the figure. Their face was unrecognizable, but she knew that they were beautiful. Almost like they were a mythical being, the red person had this divine and passionate aura. The empress didn't feel the need to protect herself—for some reason her intuition told her this person was safe and they were on her side. She was the first one to speak.
"I-I'm really sorry, it must be embarrassing for you to see an empress cry...it is very humiliating for me as well."
The clothed figure responded with a shake of the head and a smile. Their arms—delicate yet rough from scars and symbols reached out to wipe the tears off of Navier's face. The empress felt this intense connection to this mysterious person. It was like they had known each other for eons.
Without her realizing, her lips had already made contact to the strangers. The person's red eyes widened as their face started to become red. Navier had also realized what she had done and became flustered and blushed. She pulled back quickly and hid her face.
"I a-apologize! That was very inappropriate of me to do, I didn't realize what I was doing."
The empress was embarrassed, and shameful that she had kissed another person other than her husband. However, this kiss felt different. It gave her a rush of tranquility, and she imagined sparks exploding in her mind. She was ashamed to admit, but this kiss was better that when she had done it with Sovieshu.
The red figure was still silent and ruffled Navier's blonde hair. When Navier tried to look back at the figure; they had disappeared like a gust of wind. She looked around to try to spot them, but there was nothing. The flustered empress felt her lips as she remembered the moment that she had made contact.
'Who were they? Will they visit me again?'

Xiangli teleported to a nearby forest and ripped off her face covering. She was red and hot from the encounter she had with Navier. At first, she just wanted to see how the empress acted without anyone watching; but she didn't expect her to cry. She held herself with one hand as she leaned to a tree for support. Tsuji had finally found his emperor looking quite worse for wear and ran over concerned.
"Your majesty, are you alright?"
"I'm fine—also please just use my name Tsuji."
"Okay, but are you sure Xiangli? I've never seen you like this before."
"Yeah it was nothing, I just went for a run—yeah I ran haha."
Tsuji put his hand on his hips as he could see through Xiangli's lies. But he truly did not have time to figure out his emperor's secrets, so he let it slide.
"Okay. Also to remind you, the international summit in the Eastern Empire is going to be in a couple weeks. Do you think we need to bring the others with us?"
"If they want to...although I think it's best if all of them come. Each of them could expand our connections since they are very diverse in what they do. But I just want to see what type of food the Eastern Kingdom has. I can't believe I teleported here for a couple days and haven't even tried the local dishes!"
Tsuji sighed. "You always focus on the food rather than the important stuff."
"Come on! Food is just as important hehe-diplomatic meetings are just soooo boring."
"I agree but even I know it must be done. I'll go back and rely this information to Toya, since he knows more about this type of stuff."
"Anyways— even if things don't go well I can always just force them into submission." Xiangli remarked with her glowing eyes. Tsuji only chuckled and stared back with the same glow.
"Well, I guess we can head back home together —shall we?"
Tsuji nodded and knelt with one knee as he teleported and disappeared into a black mist. Xiangli plopped onto the ground and rubbed her forehead as she keeps flash-backing to the kiss.
"I can't stop thinking about her...she was so much more beautiful in person. Maybe I'll go visit her again."
The red-haired female looked up to the moon and smiled about the upcoming future; maybe she had found the one that she can be devoted too.
'This could be it.'
