The Legend of Sun Xiangli
Known as one of the greatest warriors and leaders of the foreign lands. Xiangli is said to have conquered and ruled over the continent; known as 'Saiya'. What makes Xiangli different from other rulers is that she is not of royal blood; nor was she born of privilege.
According to her legends, Xiangli had no relatives and was an orphan at a very young age. She lived in a simple shack near the floating mountains and was able to live off of the vegetation and had help with the monkeys that lived nearby. One day at the ripe age of 10, Xiangli decided to venture the mountain to look for the monkeys that befriended her. She coincidentally met the Monkey King who was stuck under a rock.
Not knowing who he was, Xiangli immediately tried to push off the rock and it slide off. Xiangli somehow broke the seal that was imprisoning the monkey king with ease; and some say that it was fate for Xiangli to break the seal. The Monkey King. Otherwise known as Sun Wukong; then took interest in the girl and devoted himself into raising and training her into who she is now.
As Xiangli grew up she quickly felt the desire to explore outside the mountain. Wukong was very attached to this little girl and was very protective of her. If she left the mountain she would be exposed to the harsh reality of humanity. However, as time passed he knew Xiangli had the potential to become great. So the Monkey King gave Xiangli his precious piece of wisdom when Xiangli was in her mid teens.
"My little monkey...outside this mountain you will discover a vast and new land. It will be different than how it is here, but I know that you will adjust. I have taught you many things, like fighting, language, strategy, and the mystic arts. But there is one thing that I cannot teach you. When you feel unfulfilled, I ask that you remember this...you must find someone to devote yourself too. If you cannot have a connection with someone you will have a hole in your heart. Once you find that person, you will be complete."
