Song: golden hour- JVKE (slowed)

"When I wake up by my side all I see are empty imprints of your soul."

As the sky fades from obsidian to the hue of daisies one can't help but wonder of their soul's other half. Does the idea of a predestined soulmate pervade the mind of the people? Or is it simply a false reality created to bring comfort to our loneliness as a species? Sometimes intelligence leads to one becoming too aware of their infinitesimal existence compared to the vast echoes of the universe. Are we truly controlled by fate set by a grander design?
What if liberation from destiny became a possibility? What would one do if the only way to break free from this control is through trials of pain and perseverance? Would they take the chance if it meant cutting ties with everything they ever knew? Is the price of freedom worth the pain?

Would one fight the gods to change their fate?

As daylight erupted into the bars of the cobblestone walls, it passes by a pair of vermillion and blonde. The light causes one from the pair to wake up from their almost eternal sleep. In a daze, Xiangli grounds herself in her surroundings. She notices the female next to her. As she moved a stray hair from Navier's face memories crashed in her mind.
These were memories not of her current life but of past reincarnations. Xiangli could feel everything yet nothing all at once. The overwhelming love she subconsciously carried for the female under her put a pressure on her chest. She felt the love of Navier's presence—of her soul- the constant seperation and reunion of their souls throughout eons of dynasties. As Xiangli gripped a strand of Navier's golden lock, she could only hold it next to her face as she painfully remembered the tragedies.
Her love had to suffer this cruel curse without ever knowing who she was really with. The gods had sentenced these immortals to eternal separation. Xiangli's eyes opened with a dark glow and the necklaces on both females glowed a crimson red. The Sun Emperor could only kiss her love's dewy cheek as she vowed to avenge their suffering.

"I will make sure those ingrates pay for what they've done to you my queen. I will do whatever it takes. I will continue to bear this yearning for your love from this life to the next."

The Sun Emperor had picked up their Queen bridal style as they teleported to Navier's room. It was a large bedroom made of marble and luxurious material. Crimson and Gold fabrics were strewn along the room in a regal fashion. As Xiangli laid Navier onto the silken bed they walked over to the open windows and stepped out onto the limestone balcony. It was early dawn and the sky had barely begin it's sunrise. All Xiangli could hear was the morning breeze and the rustle of the autumn leaves.

As she spoke in an incomprehensible language, a vermillion light glowed around the the borders of Navier's room. Xiangli then walked over to the bed and placed a peck on the blonde's cheek as they whispered sweet nothings.
A wash of warmth pervaded Navier's body as she relaxed in comfort.

And like a gust of wind; Empress Navier was left alone.

Golden Rays welcome the start of a New Day.

Navier awakens from her slumber; accompanied with a weightless and tranquil feeling. As her bare feet made trailed across the cold floor to the balcony, she gripped the marble railing and was stunned. The petals of newly bloomed orchids moved with the gentle breeze—doves flew across the orange sky, and just as she leaned closer in awe a strong gust of wind hit.

The flowers broke away from their branches and flowed with the wind— paired like a choreographed dance

The flowers broke away from their branches and flowed with the wind— paired like a choreographed dance. It was like a reunification of two lost souls. Somehow—in Navier's mind— she had felt whole. Although she couldn't remember much of the night before, she knew it had something to do with this carnal sentiment.
And for some reason, whether or not it was the strong presence the sun—Navier couldn't get the Sun Emperor off her mind.

'Oh! That's reminds me—I forgot to apologize for our harsh welcome.'

Navier sighed and rubbed her temple for confort as she muttered, "Oh Sovieshu...you stupid stupid boy..."

Almost coincidentally, Navier was hit with another gust of wind—like nature was expressing the humor in the situation. Navier sighed and had a small smile— maybe this was a sign that she would meet them in a better setting.
