Masked Love

CHAPTER 4

JIMIN AND JUNGKOOK'S CONDO

Jungkook: 'Sit down, Joonie.'

Joon threw himself on the sofa. 'How are your friends accepting this, Kook?'

Jimin and Jungkook sat. Jungkook indicated Jimin.

Jungkook: 'Don't you have eyes? Even a straight man would see him and understand that he is beautiful.'

Jimin laughed and punched Jungkook in the shoulder. 'Shhh.'

Jungkook (ignoring Jimin): 'Then get to know him. If for one tiny second you thought I was into men you too would see this is completely plausible.'

Jimin: 'Ok, now stop!'

Jungkook grinned and Jimin shook his head.

Jimin: 'My family and colleagues are the same...but seriously, when we were first introduced it just worked out. We were instant friends and for both of us...'

He paused and looked at Jungkook for confirmation, who nodded.

Jimin: '...That never happened. We had friends through school and work, but they were more like acquaintances. The people we dated only wanted our money and/or status. As well as most of our friends when we started talking about it.'

Jungkook nodded. 'We talked for ages since then and have a huge number of things in common.'

He held up his hand and started ticking things off on his fingers.

Jungkook: 'The same sense of humor, same taste in films, both like taking pictures, we have the same damn places on our bucket list of spots to see in the world. All our hobbies mesh, which is what friends do and couples should. Our jobs are different, which is what is really cool. I can go see his student's shows or anything he appears in and he can come travel with me when I have away meetings if his schedule allows. He has been at all our shareholder meeting so knows the company well, which gives me an ear if I need it...'

Joon: 'Ok...ok, I surrender.'

Joon held up his hands.

Joon: 'I get it and it sounds great, but marriage?'

Jimin: 'Neither one of us want to keep be pushed into all those arranged meetings that our mothers have been inflicting on us. As we get older it will just get worse. This way, we can just be ourselves and if one of us falls in love we can divorce.'

Jungkook: 'We signed the pre-nuptial today.'

Joon: 'What if you get caught dating outside your marriage.'

Jungkook and Jimin looked at each other. They had not really thought of that.

Jungkook: 'To date I haven't dated anyone past one night, so I don't think that will be an issue.'

Jimin looked at his hands and was silent a few minutes. The brothers stared at him. He finally answered after taking a deep breath. 'I haven't actually dated anyone yet.'

Both Joon and Jungkook looked at him in shock.

Jungkook: 'Really?'

Jimin: 'Yeah, is there something wrong with that? Sorry... it never came up in the discussions and I didn't think it was an issue.'

Jungkook: 'You don't have to be sorry. It's just shocking because well...'

He waved his hand up and down indicating Jimin's looks. Jimin looked at him with a puzzled expression.

Jungkook: 'You are fucking gorgeous, dude! Women must have given you their number just by standing on the damn street.'

Jimin: 'Looks aren't everything. I was homeschooled until the last year of high school and college. There I majored in dance and, well, that pretty much pegged me as gay. I am incredibly shy because of all the homeschooling so never asked anyone out...plus my actions were heavily monitored by my family.'
