Ice Age: Dawn of The Dinosaurs

Chapter 2

Hazel was walking alongside the mammoths as they took a stroll across the field.

She was still thinking about the situation that had taken place just hours ago, it was just on constant repeat in her head and the more she thought about it, the angrier she got.

"Hazel you're pacing," Manny comments with a slightly annoyed tone just eying the saber.

"Diego just left!!" She let out angrily stopping in her tracks; "After all we've gone through his gonna leave because he doesn't know how to have play dates?!"

"We could've just had a conversation and learn together, does he really care about his reputation or something?!; Why does he now!!?"

"Hold on;" Ellie blocked the sabers' path with her trunk. "We're all upset that Diego left, but if he chooses to leave, then that's his choice."

".. I just don't get why though..." Hazel stammers after a moment of silence; "Would he do this if his own mate had a kid?"

They just eyed her before Ellie comments; "If it makes you feel better his probably just thinking about it, perhaps he'll come back with a fresh mind."

"He seemed pretty confidence with his decision." Manny retorts lowly, just to get lightly punched by Ellie.

Hazel nodded weakly, kicking some of the rocks across the ground with a groan.

"Look how about you go try hanging out with Sid?" Ellie walked back; "I'm sure his also devastated by this."

At that she lifts her head; "You're right..."

With that she runs off to go find him, she was so distracted by the event she'd neglected to check how he was dealing with it, especially since he'd tried to keep peace.

"Sid!!!; Where are you?!; Siiiiiiid~!!"

Groaning, she leapt on top of a rock, looking around carefully; "Where did he go off too?"

Shuddering at a possible thought, she moved quickly off the rock and down the hill, only to skid to a halt when a large white egg came rolling down pass her.

She only watched it race down when a familiar scream from behind turned her head.
There, the sloth she was looking for, sliding down the hill with two more eggs.

"Thank goodness." Sighing in relief, it took a few moments before it dawned on her what was happening and race down after them.

"Sid!!" She cried out, just catching up to him, making him gaze at her momentarily before reaching his toes out for the third egg; "What are you doing?!"

"I'm saving my kids!!"

"WHAT?!"

In a state of shock, she ended up not watching where she was going and tripped.

As Sid and the eggs went off a rock ramp, she tumbled down turning into a huge snowball, and rolled right off a cliff, just to hit the ground hard.

Out of the layers upon layers of snow, Hazel, in a complete daze, looked across the area trying to gather her surroundings, and noticed Ellie hanging onto a tree, holding one of the eggs with her trunk.

At least it's okay, that's something nice as she sighed of relief.

"What did you both do?"

Shaking her head, she saw Manny stopping beside her with a disappointed look.

"I didn't do anything!!" She replied, with a stumble, she jogged over towards Ellie who was getting down from the tree.

"Didn't think you two would go this far." She comments lightly making Hazel glare.
