Faisal's POV
Today is the happiest day of my life,I have never been so excited as I am today being it's my engagement with the one I truly love,my life,my Aafrah.
To say I was not worried when I didn't see her since the fun day, will be an understatement. I was literally going crazy with the 'what ifs' that has been messing with my head especially my heart. But I was relieved when I saw her with Iman at the park two days ago. She looks worried though well, anyone in her shoes would be but am glad her friends and family are there for her no matter what.
Here I am in front of the mirror adjusting my outfit with a huge smile on my face just thinking of how fast things are going and with the help of Allah I am half way done with fulfilling my dream of making aafrah mine, mine alone.
" Will you stand there all day staring at your ugly self?" A female voice said behind me.
I quickly turned around to see my sister standing there looking as beautiful as ever in her 'whatever the name of the clothe is' with no smile on her face. She is everything a brother should 'not' wish for, scrape that,'never' wish for.
"Oh hello dear sister pardon me but I seem not to have been aware of your honourable presence. To what do I owe this pleasure." I mischievously said just to annoy the beast in her. What? I can do that right?
She matched to where I was rooted and stopped only inches away from me while she points her index finger an inch away from my eye, wow!! Great! Someone should please tell her not to remove my eye.
"Look here you despicable monster, you can use all the words in the dictionary for all you want but I am not here to listen to you while you use your stupid grammars. I am here for you to listen to me while I do the talking." She said through her gritted teeths. I don't think I like where this is going. Do you?
"Whatever you have to say, please accept my humble opinion and save it,save it till after the engagement party because as you see my dear, there is no time to waste and I can't keep my wife waiting because of the silly speech you are about to give" my annoyed self replied.
"For your information,I also don't have time to waste but you must listen to all that I have to say, I am here to warn you because I have done everything I could to stop this alliance but I couldn't, so I am warning you. I swear if you dare hurt even a hair on her head,I will make sure that you regret ever being born. " she said warningly.
"Is that my sister threatening me? What type of sister are you? Isn't that line supposed to be said by her brother? What a twist!" I said amusingly.
But she didn't answer me she just made her way to the door but stopped as she held the handle,"you were never the brother I wished to have,I never did consider as my family anyway" she said as she left the room.
Ouch, that hurts, like hell. How can she say that I was never the brother she wanted, wasn't she the one that always hated me,always looking for a way to get me in trouble.
Wasn't I the one that is supposed to hate her but here she is telling me all manner of nonsense, she is just lucky today is my engagement and I don't want to ruin it but next time she won't be this lucky.
Still in my thoughts when my dad made his way into my room with a grin on his wrinkled face,he looks funny though.
"hey big guy,are you sure you are not having second thoughts" he said jokingly. " you know you always have 'plan B' right?" He added.
