"Okay now how far along are you," the doctor asked April who just looked down feeling embarrassed as she already knew she was way too far along for this to be her first appointment and the doctor was sure to lecture her about that.

April hadn't meant to do this, but she just was way too distracted with still trying to make it on Broadway alone with the fact that she had no clue what appointments she was supposed to make and when. It didn't help that she was basically doing this completely on her own except a few check in phone calls from her dad and some visits with Deco.

But none of them were really up to date on what kind of things you need to do when pregnant, so she was basically on her own with this.

"Um I'm about 30 weeks I think," April told the doctor nervously making the doctor look at her like she was crazy and making April feel worse as she knew she should have come in earlier because it was obvious this doctor was judging her right now and thinking she's a horrible person for waiting so long for this to be her very first appointment.

April knew this sounded bad too heck most people already knew what baby they were having by this point, but April still had no clue and not just because she wanted to wait she just hadn't seen a doctor to know yet.

"This is your first appointment and you are 30 weeks," the doctor asked April in a tone that April recognized right away this doctor hated her for sure right now. "Yes that's what I said! I messed up! I get it! Can you just do your job now so I can go home! I'm exhausted and these cramps have been torturing me all day. They keep coming and going," April told the doctor in frustration as she was in serious pain and didn't like the judgemental looks she was getting.

The doctor just sighed as she wanted to lecture April more, but she knew April was right. Just as she was about to start examining April and doing an ultrasound, April started screaming in immense amounts of pain as the cramps were getting worse and worse and she couldn't take it anymore.

This immediately caused the doctor to jump into action as she quickly checked for a heartbeat as she wanted to make sure that the baby was okay and healthy. Especially with how much pain April was in right now. Both April and the doctor sighed in relief when they were able to find the heartbeat right away and it was going strong.

"Okay so baby is definitely still there and seems to have a healthy heart rate now let's quickly see what's going on because I am worried about the amount of pain you're feeling right now," the doctor told April who nodded as she allowed the doctor to run all her tests while the cramps would keep coming and going each one getting worse than the other.

April had no clue why she was feeling like this but a sinking feeling started to fill her when she realized that maybe the cramps weren't cramps, but something else. Before April had time to really think about it the doctor gave her a panicked look causing April to get worried.

"What's going on," April asked the doctor nervously, causing the doctor to sigh as she knew this was April's first appointment, but she was about 30 weeks already and so far all her symptoms were showing signs of possible labor. Which yes wasn't full term however it was the third trimester where babies are officially developed enough to survive outside of the womb with help of course.

"Okay Miss Dibrina I understand that you are only 30 weeks along in this pregnancy however what you are describing and based on the other facts like the fact that your baby has dropped already it sounds like early labor," the doctor quickly told April making her eyes widen in panic as she realized what this meant.

"No! I can't be! I'm only 30 weeks! Babies are full term at like 40! That's 10 weeks early!" April cried out in panic but the doctor just rolled her eyes as she didn't feel bad for April at all. She felt for the baby who was probably going to suffer because of her irresponsible mother however April had brought this on herself by not making regular scheduled appointments.

And also not taking the precautions she needed to take while pregnant. As April had even came in with a coffee which you are not supposed to have when pregnant.

"Well you are showing signs and maybe if you had actually come to regular scheduled appointments we may have seen this coming and been able to do something. And also if you learned how to take care of yourself as well then maybe this wouldn't be an issue. It's too late now though so now I'm going to check for dilation. This may hurt a little," the doctor sternly told April who didn't really have time to process what was going on as she was just met with even more pain as the doctor started checking for dilation.

"Okay that's it you're about 3 cms dilated right now. You need to go to the hospital you're in labor," the doctor quickly told April and before April could really process what was going on again she was being rushed to the hospital and forced into a delivery room.

"What! No this can't be happening right now! I'm not ready! Please I want to go home! This wasn't supposed to happen! They're just cramps! I'm not in labor! I can't be!" April cried out hysterically as she tried to pull her ivs out, but the nurse just pushed her back down refusing to let her leave.

"You can't leave! You are in labor! And those cramps are contractions, they are definitely not just cramps!" The nurse quickly told April who just shook her head no again as she refused to believe she was in labor as she wasn't at full term yet and her water hadn't even broken yet.

"No I can't be! And my water hasn't even broke yet! It's probably just braxton hicks and a mis..." April began but was interrupted when she felt the gushing feeling and saw the clear liquid that entered the floor as she started crying realizing this wasn't a false alarm and her water just broke. She really was in labor.
