Evelyn's POV

" Bye, Evelyn. I love you, have a great day at school," said my older sister Reagan, kissing my cheek. 

" Love you too. Bye!" I said, desparately rushing towards the entrance to exit my sister's grasp as fast as possible. 

Hello, my name's Evelyn! I'm recently starting at a new school, Robinson Middle. I'm super nervous. I just recently moved to Missouri, so I don't know anyone there. It's gonna be weird for me, but I'm up for it. I don't run away from my problems. I don't think I ever will. 

I entered the school and immeadiately froze. The whole school had dozens- no, hundreds of students. Talking, laughing, getting to their classes. I stood there, alone. Shaking, I tried to act calm and cool as I got my schedule to check my locker number and code. I took a few deep breaths and walked past a group of giggly girls and some doofus boys. 

I got to my locker without a problem and got my book, Greek Mythology. I looked around for the classroom, but it was nowhere in sight. Where on earth was that stupid classroom? I really, really would appreaciate not getting detention on the first day at my new school with all of these kids and-

William's POV

I noticed a girl with blond ringlets and a pale face looking around nervously at everyone else. She was super cute, cuter than any girl I'd ever seen at school. None of the girls had ever been right for me. They always had a big problem. Some were too annoying, some were too big-headed, some never shut their mouths. But she- that girl- looked completely perfect. 

I walked over to her and asked, " Hey, do you need any help?" 

" Uh, actually, I need to, um, get to class," she stammered. " I have Social Studies, but I don't know where anything is and..." Her voice trailed off and she swallowed. 

" I know where that is. Do you want me to walk you there?" I asked her kindly. Mom says that the best way to win a girl's heart is through kindness. A girl wants a man who will treat her correctly. 

" Yes, please, that would be lovely," she nods and smiles. 

" Okay. But first, what's your name?" 

" It's Evelyn. Yours?" 

" William." 

So I walked her to class, and it was nice, whatever. But the only thought was, I am walking a cute girl to class on her first day of school. I am walking a cute girl to class on her first day of school. I am walking a cute girl to class on her first day of school. I couldn't think that enough times. 

When we arrived at the classroom, Evelyn smiled warmly at me. " Thank you so so much for walking me to class. Really." 

" It was no biggie," I replied, smiling back at her. 

She chuckles. " Well, I'd better go. See ya around." 

Yep, it's settled. This is the girl I'm made for.
