Phoenix

"You're never home!", I yelled at Dallon.

This was one of our weekly, if not daily fights.

"In case you forgot, I have a band to play bass for. We have an album coming out in the fall!", he replied.

"Brendon still makes time to be with Sarah, Spencer makes time for Linda, but you can't do that for me!", I said, fighting back tears.

"That's Brendon and Spencer! I have more things to do, Phoenix! But I guess you can't understand that.", he yelled.

"I can't deal with this anymore.", I confessed, standing up.

"What do you mean, 'you can't deal with this anymore'?", he asked.

I slid off my ring and slammed it on the living room table.

"Find someone who loves you better that I will,", I yelled, getting up to grab my bags.

I had a suitcase packed in case of emergencies, and I picked it up.

I grabbed my house key to Pete and Meagan's house before going to the front.

"No, no, no. Phee, I'm sorry!", he yelled, tears falling.

"Dallon, I love you. But we need a break. I'm sorry.", I cried, getting in my car.

"Phoenix, please!", he sobbed.

"No. You've screwed up enough. Goodbye, Dallon.", I said driving off to the other place I called home.

I drove out of the neighborhood and got onto the highway.

I got to Pete's house 20 minutes later, beating the night.

I grabbed my suitcase and my duffel bag, wiping the tears on my face.

"Don't cry, don't cry, do not cry.", I reminded myself.

I rang the doorbell, tapping my foot to keep my composure.

Pete opened the door as I gave up, burst into tears and began sobbing into his shirt.

"Phoenix, hey, hey. What's wrong?", he asked, concern in his voice.

Meagan heard the noise and came to the door.

Pete now had my 5'0 small self in his arms as I had a breakdown.

"Grab her bags.", Pete told Meagan, walking into the house with me.

She nodded and grabbed my stuff.

A cup of green tea and an explanation later, I was somewhat calm but still upset.

"That dick! I swear to God, I'm going to kill him!", Pete yelled.

Thankfully, Bronx was with Ashlee and Saint was with Meagan's parents.

"Pete, there's no need to kill anyone.", Meagan assured him, putting her hand on his shoulder.

"He hurt my sister! Y'know what, we're going over there right now.", Pete replied, getting up from the couch and grabbing his keys.

"Pete, sit down.", I said.

He completely ignored us and got in his car.

He honked the horn as we sat inside, disbelief washing over the both of us.

Even though I didn't want to, I had to confront Dal.

We pulled up to Dal's house 35 minutes later and Pete was literally fuming.

He rang the doorbell.

"Come on dude, it's 8:30! What are you doing this early?", Pete mumbled.

Dal opened the door, his hair a mess and eyes red.

"You ass! You hurt my sister. I swear to god, if I didn't have kids to feed, I would stick my bass so far down your throat and risk going to jail.", Pete yelled.

"She left!", Dal replied.

"Because you messed up! My sister has done so much, and this is how you treat her? You're absolutely ridiculous.", Pete scoffed.

"Dal, what Pete's trying to say is that, the two of you need to make up. And you need to apologize.", Meagan said.

"We're on a break. I'm not talking to him until he can grow the hell up. I'll be in the car.", I scoffed, walking off his porch.

"Hey, hey, hey! Get your ass back here, and quit being petty. You two need to make up, now.", Pete replied, pulling me back.

I groaned.

"Phoenix, stop. You guys are grown adults. Act like it."

"Phee, I'm really sorry. I didn't know me not being around affected you.", Dal sighed.

"Of course it affected me! I'm your girlfriend, and we're supposed to spend time together.", I yelled.

"I understand that. From now on, let me know about these things, so we can fix them. I love you, Phoenix. And I wouldn't do anything to ever hurt you.", Dal smiled.

"I love you too.", I replied.

"Alright, my work here is done. Go get your things from the car.", Pete smiled.

I grabbed my stuff and went back to our doorstep.

Dallon put his arm around me and pulled me close to him.

Pete and Meagan left and Dal picked me up, making me squeal.

We got in the house and we went into the living room.

He picked up the ring from the coffee table and knelt down.

"Phoenix, will you be mine?", he asked, still smiling up at me.

"Of course.", I replied.

He slipped the ring on my finger before kissing me.

The kiss got slightly intense then next thing you knew, we were on the couch.

He had his hands down my shirt, finding it's way to my bra.

"Is this okay?", he asked.

I nodded.

He unclamped it as he took it out and threw it to the floor.

"Shouldn't we be doing this in bed?", I asked.

"Oh, right.", he chuckled, picking my bra up as we went to the room.

He threw me onto the bed lightly before pulling my shirt off.

He ran his hands over my body, making his way down from my chest.

I pulled his shirt off, exposing his chest.

"How are you so beautiful?", he asked.

"Look who's talking. You're so handsome, I could just stay here with you forever.", I replied.

I'll leave it to all your imaginations to think about what happened next between us.
