Weeks had passed since we thought Kelsey had killed Kevin, and since we heard Lukas crying. To my knowledge, it was Christmas Eve now. Kevin told Bryson and Lukas that he was going home for about three or so days to visit his family for the holidays, and Bryson decided to do the same. Lukas claimed he had no family so he decided to be in charge. It was crazy how it felt like just a couple of days ago it was Halloween, and now it was about to be Christmas.
During the twenty days, Lukas and Kevin gave Kelsey her punishment for attacking Kevin. She was kept in the basement for around three days and apparently starved. Luckily, she didn't starve. When Bryson would come to feed us, Taylor, Chloe and I would ask him to take part of our food down to her. In my eyes throughout our captivity, Bryson changed dramatically. His energy gave off the feeling of him being done with this whole kidnapping thing. A couple of days after Kelsey came back to the room, Lukas surprisingly gave us a packet of markers, two coloring books, and each a cheap notebook. This had to be Bryson's idea to get us all of this, I thought to myself.
On another day, Lukas came in and said; "I think you two can get off the hook for a while," he said to Chloe and Taylor. He took the ropes from around their waists and threw them to the side. Kelsey and I glanced at each other in frustration. I kind of understood why Kelsey wasn't allowed to take it off due to the previous outbursts she had, but I was somewhat good like the other two.
"Okay," I said smartly.
"Okay, what?!" Lukas turned to me with complexity.
"Nothing," I shrugged, turning away.
"No! You answer me you little shit! You're the one I despise the most!" His words didn't hurt me as much, I kind of had an idea he hated me the most out of the four of us. It's not that hard to notice, I thought. After that, he punched me in the left side of my mouth and stormed out. The girls had their eyes glued to me for several seconds after that.
Since it was now Christmas Eve, Lukas was the only one in the house doing God knows what, meanwhile, the four of us colored and wrote. The light bulb shining above the middle of the room, giving us light to color. I ripped a page out to color. The page I ripped out was of a cartoon rabbit in a wheelchair. As I colored, I thought about school and my mom. I thought about how upset and grieving she must be experiencing right now. Along with my brother, sister, and what other friends did I have? Sophie probably hated my guts at this point. Roman or Dallas hadn't spoken to me for a week before I was kidnapped. It felt as if ever since Senior year began for the four of us, people avoided being around us like we were some kind of disease. We did not run the school by any means. Our school wasn't like the typical teenage movie schools or anything of that sort. Some people were popular, and others were talked about and tormented by others. I, of course, experienced both ends.
"Guys, what would be your ideal way to kill them?" Kelsey randomly said. This question interested me.
"Like, just one? Or all three?" I asked her, laying down my marker.
"All three," She said.
"Well, I wouldn't kill Bryson-"
"Seriously? He's in on it too!" Kelsey was exasperated.
"I wouldn't either, he saved me from the shed," Taylor chimed in.
"Yeah, he'd definitely be the one I spare," Chloe added.
"Okay, I guess the most I'd do is knock him out maybe," Kelsey seemed to be just saying this to fit in or something.
"If I had the energy, I'd run out of this room, kick Lukas in the crotch, grab the sharpest knife, stab him in the neck, and whenever Kevin comes out of the doorway or something, I'll stab him in the throat, stomach, and jab the knife down his mouth," I explained. You could tell I hated Kevin the most. Especially since he tortured my friends more than he had me.
